It might be that crunch or cross-break hit without checking which limbs are already broken. I can't remember.
Also there's really nothing stopping you from, for instance, coding yourself a little script to check the deathmark diagnose thingy and sacrificing if they have 4 broken and shriveling if not.
P.S. Celestines don't have passive curing (unless they took Healing or dropped a Hallowedground) so it probably wasn't that.

Yea - I think I'm gonna work on that, actually. It does seem like cross-break and crunch are hitting limbs that are already broken. If that is the case, though, I'm also going to see if I can pull of shrivel with only scabies, instead of both scabies and epilepsy. From the limited experience I've had so far, ecto+scabies seems to be enough to get it.

And I expect it's crunch that's hitting already-broken limbs, rather than cross. Does it have a leg-only or arm-only restrict (ie it only breaks legs, or it only breaks arms)? I can't remember. Fairly easy to check, either way. If it does have no restrict and it is hitting already-broken limbs, bug it.

When I fought Shamarah, he usually reserved Scourge until he ordered the demon to attack when his deathmark was high and then unleashed it on a person for Crucify. Personally, I think this is a good idea as the two affs your demon gives arent good for anything outside of hindering with Shackles. People can cure demons and angels by themselves just fine.

Also, after letting my demon beat on me for the past ten minutes, I've found that if the target has 0-2 broken limbs, the demon almost always (had 2 instance in 10 minutes where this wasn't the case) broke another limb. I have no idea whatsoever why scabies did not tic. Happened again once before this, in the same situation. Wised up this round, and went ahead with the scourged scabies/epilepsy. Look carefully, though... scabies didn't tic a single time while she was on the crucifix.
So - how does a Loboshigaru Psymet Nekotai keep from having scabies tic?
Edit: Also, ScorpionSpit can be used on a crucifix! Who knew?

Really? When I was a Nihilist all my 1vs1 kills were from wrack. I'm by no means bragging (because this was years ago and I've never been known for combat) but it was really easy even against people who knew what they were doing. Perhaps it's because I was a mugwump astrologer and aeon was a pretty common volcano/aapek ray affliction on the first generation players.
Aeon + heavy affliction class that is the Nihilist = wracks becomes plausible even with a lousy leech. I think people really underestimate astrology, it's a great supplement for Nihilists. Even if leech is terrible and you think sac is a better method, imagine combining your afflictions with additional ones from astro (there's a bunch) as well as a high probability aeon ray. Saccing is definitely made easier if you know what you're doing.
