I meant it was plugged into my network card. With a cord. So not wireless. And there is no router inbetween. I have fiber optic broadband straight to my appartment. There's some type of router in the basement of the building I guess. But there shouldn't be no problems with it.

Also when I monitor my connection it doesn't go down but mudlet still disconnects me from Lusternia. The same thing happens in Achaea and Imperian aswell.

I just switched to using HTML logging for mudlet, but half of these logs cut off before I ended them. I talked to a few other people (one on 2.0 rc2, another on rc5, and i'm at 2.0 test3, as far as I know the newest version) and it appears all of them that have tried are having this issue. Has anyone found a solution for this?

Anyone have any clues on this issue? I'm on windows 7 x64
Vadi2011-08-21 21:28:24
Mudlet doesn't ever decide to randomly DC you - it gets it's signals from Qt which gets them from Windows. So it's Windows's networking layer that decides to say 'something happened, dc' and that gets passed on. Since you -are- using a router, that is still a possible problem.

I haven't tried to log in HTML since upgrading, but the rc6 version didn't work either. It would go for a random amount of time before just suddenly cutting off.

I'm curious, there seems to be extra line spaces between prompts and whenever I enter anything like commands and stuff.

The Aetherplex Chamber.
The spherical chamber is formed from a hollow geode comprised of dozens of precious gemstones. Large
jagged formations of rubies, sapphires, diamonds and emeralds line the walls and ceiling. The floor
has been cut and polished to a brilliant shine, revealing concentric circles of brilliant colours.
Upon close examination of the glassy floor, shimmering reflections briefly glide across its smooth
surface of wondrous mansions and abodes. A current of electricity continuously runs throughout this
mineral wonder, causing tiny sparks to erratically blossom up and down the crystalline formations.
Shimmering with aetheric energy, a bright glowing portal floats here in midair. A giant bat hangs
here, wings folded about its body and one beady eye open. Sniffing at the air, a great brindle
mastiff stands here with a cheerful demeanor. Curled up in a ball, Milla the Peppermint Kitten rests
here. There are 2 wandering bards here. Kelai is here, sprawled on the floor. He wields a plush doll
of the Amethyst Generator in his right hand. Spark Iphye Eldunari is here. You see a sign here
instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system. There is an aetherways
portal here.
You see exits leading north (open door), south, out, and through a bright, glowing portal.

And I'm wondering, to conserve space and all, is it something I can fix on Mudlet or one of the game's CONFIG things?
Vadi2011-08-22 21:04:00
config prompt remove linebreak + enable the 'delete unnecessary linebreaks on GA servers' in Mudlet settings - that should help you!

Ah, thanks a lot! Now my prompt triggers work, aheh!

I feel like I'm about three levels below what's necessary to understand anything in this forum, but I'm learning nonetheless.

Anyway, to the question: I want to be able to call some kind of alias or script from a trigger. For instance, I want to carry out a healing script whenever I get a line telling me I have an affliction, but I don't want to write the script on each trigger.

Thus, I would have an alias that eats whatever curing herbs I need called curemenow. Then, I have triggers for "You have affliction A." and "You have affliction B.", and both of them call for the alias curemenow.

Thanks in advance!
Lilia2011-08-23 08:19:30
You would make a script file and put this in it:

function curemenow()

stuff you want to do

end

Then you'll just put curemenow() in the triggers.

Ugh, can't get this to work for my XP counter. I have all four lines of QSC as begin of line substring triggers, in a multiline trigger, with a delta of 4. deleteLine() however only kills the last line. How do I make sure everything gets gagged?
Lilia2011-08-23 19:25:52
I have noticed something like this too. When I have more than one line to match, only the ones that actually capture something get gagged.
Vadi2011-08-24 06:19:12
deleteLine() isn't related to matches - it just gags the line that's being processed.

Ah, I just figured it out. deleteLine() has to go first, or else it gets ignored when the code before it doesn't work.
Vadi2011-08-24 08:27:28
If by doesn't work you mean errors out - yes, Lua stops executing the code if there's an error, which would explain it.
Calixa2011-08-24 12:11:02
Nothing in the error log for me. When I check multiline (for 10 lines, just to be sure) I get this:

QUOTE
| Iconoclast Kalas Calixa, Prophetess of the Weaver ---------------- #212 |
: You have gained 0.00% experience. You need to slay inf more to level up.
31 seconds passed since your last kill. You need to bash for 152.24 hours until level up and are gaining 0.55% experience per hour.
| Health : 5372/5372 Mana : 5521/5601 Ego : 5043/5043 Analytical |

My trigger has the following lines added to it:

QUOTE
| Iconoclast Kalas Calixa
| Health :
|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I've tried with adding in the level line but that doesn't change a thing.

I was wondering, with multiple worlds open, is there a way to switch quickly between two tabs aside from clicking them?
Vadi2011-08-24 21:00:16
Don't think so - I'd recommend opening multiple Mudlets instead.

I'm going to try and overlap an autosipper over demonnic's auto influencer since I've been tearing my hair out at manually sipping bromides, so...

I'm wondering what an autosipper's components would be? Or even at the simplest, just for ego. I have something simple for bashing, it just tends to clash with demonnic's system when they're on at the same time.

When placing wildcards in a trigger pattern, is anything wrong with similar:
