So, I started playing around with a new character in Borderlands (on the PC, sorry console people) and was wondering if any of you faaabulous folks wanted to play with me? You'd have to hear my weird musings and have to deal with me being way too excited about corrosive revolvers. It'd be super sweet if you were around the same level too...I think I'm only about 11 or 12 right now. I DO have a level 50 Lilith also, but I forget everything I was doing on her so I'd rather not play her :\\ . Um, basically I'm rambling and just wanted to know if any of you felt like playing with me. Let me know!

I've played through all of Borderlands and then some on the 360. Love the big characters and the humor.

I think so? I hardly ever touch my poor Xbox. I used to use it almost exclusively for Rock Band 2, but my drums went kerputz, so.

Anyways that doesn't do me any good because I play Borderlands on the PC! I am totally a PC gamer, through and through. Especially if the game involves shooting; HOW do people play FPS games on consoles!? I don't understand!

How do you play FPS on the PC?! PC = strategy/mmo/rpg etc games. Console = FPS. *shakes head* Clearly some people are just misguided.

You're kidding, right? FPS on consoles is terrible. I require a mouse to shoot people.

I used to be a huge fan of FPS on a PC, and now I much more prefer it on a console. It's a matter of personal training and/or preference.

RTS on a console is still pretty bleh, though Halo Wars wasn't horrible and Red Alert 3 was playable.

I got tired of all the system updates and driver issues on PC gaming, where my console is much smoother and generally has far superior graphics.

Hm. I play Borderlands with friends on PC, full team. we are all level 50 though, and leaving the alien guns will be harsh. I'll see if I could maybe give you artifacts for your character if you want, or some guns you could raise your strengths with.


But seriously, best gun in the game I got at level 22, was a smg with x4 fire damage, SOOO USEFUL *drool* till 50.

I think my mw2 graphics were much better on pc than console :/ I had a nice kdr on console mw2, stuck around 2.10 to 2.00 but I could pull it off way better on pc, think I had a 3.00 on pc. Got waaaay more nukes on pc version too. I do like them for both platforms so this post isn't much for arguing which is better, I do feel you can get a little more accuracy with a mouse than an analog stick, I suppose.

No way! The fun part of the game is playing through and slowly getting more and more ridiculous weapons and upgrades until you become a BAMF with a corrosive revolver and an insane class mod and and all that fun stuff. I don't want fancy guns and artifacts if I haven't done the work for them!

Elemental weapons as Lilith slowly get more and more crazy as you upgrade her skills and find class mods. By level 35 you become nigh-unstoppable.

It's really a shame that I hate the story in this game so much, because the weapons and upgrades are just too much fun, and the lousy story just detracts from what could've been a really fully excellent experience!

Heh, infinite ammo recharges +8 ammo recharging with the mod, +6 with with revolver, 350 damage pure per shot without mods, Gunslinger and sniper tree

leviathan triple barrage rocket launcher doing pure corrosive damage

alien sniper rifle doing 880 damage per shot, no scope

and the smg at 30 proficiency. we play it for the achievements. Like the airtime was achieved by hitting it off on a cliff, and then a friend shooting the car with a rocket launcher to go further up in the air before it crashes down.

or the gigantic roc quest, lure it down and smash into it with rocketlauncher + car

or races in the desert before crashing at full speed into each other and exitting at the moment to fling out as far as possible

or or borderlands is too fun for life

I have the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. I never finished the latter, though. I stopped playing my level 50 about halfway through it.

I have much much MUCH dislike for Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. Secret Armory of General Knoxx was fun, but a bit annoying with the back and fourth of it but hey driving the racer was a boatload of fun. Now I need to finish the Revolution.

Um, no, PC is all of those except maybe RPG depending on subgenre...FPS on console is completely miserable.

EDIT: And I say that despite having Borderlands on PS3. Yep, definitely miserable. Consoles are for action games where analogue controls matter and FGs!

I love my computer to the point of it crashing and being unplayable makes me miserable and unhappy, however I have a harder time playing fps on the computer than I do on my console. I guess it might have to do with the fact that I'm a clicker, which is fine for wow and other mmos but not fps. :\\ But hey, each to their own of course. I give you props for being able to playing FPS well on the PC.

Workable, yes, advisable or efficient, no.

I'm not a pure clicker though. I click only when my face isn't rolling across the keyboard!
