OH MAN! Llesvelt and Tulemrah are getting married soon, that's right! The temptation to have Phoebus do her normal after-wedding procedure at a Shevat wedding is far, far too tempting. Do I dare?

80% of the planning we have done towards this wedding is to ensure there will be no alcohol.

The remaining 20% is to ensure there will be no streamers and the recording tablets will remain entirely intact and free of artwork.

She doesn't drink at the weddings. Well, just wine on occasion, but you can hardly consider wine alcoholic in this game. People's manses after the wedding? It's kind of like she unfolds a minibar she'd been keeping god-knows-where. She is a perfectly well-behaved law-abiding sometimes-drunk, and only after weddings.

When we say wedding, we mean reception too

Her one chance to party, and you crush her dreams like so many . Hah well it's not like she actually would have drank at a Shevat wedding anyway. She's not that crazy. Or is she?

For the Archmage to be found intoxicated by -anyone- would be -entirely- insupportable.

The current Archmage is a lunatic eccentric who enjoys the imbibing of fine beverages, be they alcoholic or otherwise. Just as happy drinking tea as she would be moonshine, as long as they have been finely crafted!

EDIT: But seriously, she only drinks after weddings. Well, there was one time she's had some drinks at a non-wedding situation in the past decade, but what's that make it total then...three times, in the past decade, that she's had a drink at all?

(Why am I defending my character's behavior on here? Like 2/3 of the city knows Phoebus drinks after weddings and no one's ever gotten all offended about it.)

Me too. It would probably be fun to RP Daraius losing all respect for the Archmage.

Anyway, by the time receptions roll around, it's usually like 2:00 in the morning here so Daraius always has a convenient excuse not to attend.

FWIW, it's Phoebus and Casilu's silliness that makes me find Hallifax fun, even in the times where order is needed the most.

(Not that they're the only fun people, mind you, they're just... eccentric standouts!)
