I just cried a little. I was all happy 'cause I just transed another skill, too, and then someone completely humbles me with their AB.
Seraku2011-07-06 13:12:30
Bit of a late rave. Im happy I found two people Seraku can enjoy hanging out with finally. It feels like its been forever since he's last enjoyed a conversation. Talking about Tully and Jack. Tully because, well, he's Tully and Jack because he's jack and the fact that seraku has a drinking rival finally.

Don't worry, I've had Dylara for ages now, and still not omnitrans.

Thanks Seraku.
Regarding lessons--it makes me feel guilty that all I need is to find somebody who is trans combat and resilience and soon I'll be omnitrans. An omnitrans Janitor with no guild skills, but still...

Hey, if you really feel bad, you can always chuck some my way
Closest I ever came to omnitrans was wayyy back in 2005, when Jack was in Glomdoring for a few months. All that guildhopping is not conducive to high skills.

It really isn't, I'd probably be omni if I didn't hop so much.

If we'd had flexing back in the day, I'd have the full set of Hartstone skills, too, and be much closer to Serentrans.

Well, I've been playing since back in 2005 but Aeral, who I maintain to be the character I was always meant to play and that all others were getting a sense for RP and Lusternia, has been going for just over a year now, same guild. Zay and my other alts aren't nearly as complete as she is, and are all unartied. Nevertheless, I enjoy all of my characters for different aspects of the game. Sure, if I traded in my arties, I'd probably be able to trans another skill, but... meh.
Daraius2011-07-06 19:53:02
This glamrock thing sounds neat! I wonder if it'll impact tailoring commissions? Or the clothing/jewelry-hiding arties?

Trader Bob has negotiated a deal with Jeremiah to sell an amazing
Czigany artifact in the main artifact store for the incredibly
reasonable price of 250cr. The glamrock artifact allows the creation of
fashion ensembles (recorded from actual clothes you own) which can be
projected over your actual clothing!
Gaudy Glamrock: 250 credits
- This artifact allows the recording of fashion ensembles. Each Glamrock
can store up to 10 ensembles, each one lasting for up to 300 game-days,
and lets you project them over whatever you're really wearing. Each
ensemble includes everything you'd see in the description after "He is
wearing".
Syntax:
- COUTURE RECORD - Record your current ensemble
- COUTURE PLAY|NONE - Project a recorded ensemble over
yourself
- COUTURE ERASE - Erase a recorded ensemble
- COUTURE LIST - Show all your recorded ensembles
- COUTURE SHOW - Display full details of an ensemble
- COUTURE STATUS - What ensemble are you currently modeling?

It's recorded from clothing you already own, so if anything, we'll hopefully see more special orders for tailors and such. This seems like a fun artifact. It gives some utility and interaction without anything to do with combat. Granted, most people don't look too much, but it still would be nice not to feel like the love child of Liberachi and a stained glass window.

Pfft, as long as artifacts have additional costs for customization, you're always going to have the top tier of wealth walk around in rainbow pimp gear.
Unknown2011-07-07 00:33:20
It's Liberace! Regardless of how you pronounce his name, that's how it is spelled.
Shulamit2011-07-07 00:37:05
Excellent! I might get more commissions for unique clothes! Shiny...they will be all nice clothes, with ruffles and embroidery and shiny stuff.
A rave to The Lady-and-Lord Mysrai for the whole cup cake thing. I'm....still unsure how many cup cake designs You wanted, but hey. I'll...just keep designing until I get zapped, I guess. More designs! Oh...I need to submit the tattoo designs...

I don't really get it... it's an artifact where you can... what? Show some items you're wearing and not others?

It records what you're currently wearing as an 'ensemble.' Then, later, you can choose to project that ensemble so that people will see it instead of what you're actually wearing. Say you have an awful-looking set of robes that have ridiculously awesome stats. You could get all dressed up in your finest, custom-made clothing, record that ensemble, then wear your super-awesome stat robes and project the finery instead of the ugly robes.
