It's now over 12h since the last gnome drop :(

The gnome is a lie.

And now I'm focusing on them everything that moves the screen a little makes my heart jump. Paranoia tells me the Gods totally ramped up the random ambience messages just to throw me off :P

If what I remember is true, the gnomes spawn everywhere on Prime, undervault, new areas released this year, etc. Until the last gnome is found they don't respawn. I think we had some leftover gnomes for a few days in January. You might want to check places like the Melinoshima of Imperial Secrets, or more obscure places.

Not sure about that last part, we tend to get less drops during off-peak hours so I always assumed there was an admin with a gnome button, pressing it every so often.

Edit: Plus if that were true we wouldn't get the build up of gnomes in certain places like we have before, I recall there being at least two occasions where they've gotten somewhere no one expected and someone stumbled onto, like, twelve of them.

I haven't been visited by Ironbeard in those 12 hours either though. Everything hates me this year.

There were two separate drops last night; it's probably more that the people who are authorized to release them have been busy / doing other things.

I keep on muttering "Why didn't we think of this SOONER?! It's so obvious.", to myself.

Of course it doesn't bode well for my sanity, last time I'd just wait for gnomes to drop and sprint round a few places and give up after ten minutes or so, assuming they'd all been grabbed, this time I get to assume that people will have given up after one and so even hours after drops I'll be staggering around the basin looking for them :P
