It takes 120,000,000 cult essence to transcend Veneration.

You can put your own personal essence into Veneration with a 10% loss (so around 133,333,333 essence total), or you can use cult essence which accumulates at a rate of 10% of any offerings made by cult members (which translates to cultists having to offer 1,200,000,000 essence).

I ended up doing a mix of the two, mostly personal essence, though I am only using Cult essence to actually transcend it as I don't actually care about the trans skill. No point in burning personal essence after Omni.

Edit:
It ends up costing around 200,000,000 essence total (a little over) to pick it up from scratch, as you also must buy the Veneration power. So, yes, you could.

Though I do kind of wish all the essence put into powers counted towards ranking; I've got 300,000,000 essence tied up in powers. Plus the ~110 million in Veneration. :o

The cult avatar can turn their own essence into cult essence anyways, but there is a 10% conversion loss.

I could have insta transed it but I chose not to so the cult can have some offering purpose and end goal.
