Roughly ovoid in shape, this egg is seemingly fashioned from black metamorphic stone, shifting runnels frozen upon its surface, creating crags and crevices that mar its surface in numerous places. The stone bulges up in other locations, cankerous protrusions emerging at odd angles, stacked with thin layers of stone upon stone. The entire egg emanates a palpable heat, and from time to time it shakes, hinting at potential life within.
It weighs about 9 pounds.
It bears the distinctive mark of Kalas Ixion, The Devouring Blade.

Rust-red scales have begun to grow along the length of this young hydra's serpentine body, flaking with immaturity and partially obscuring the leathery black skin of the beast. Rising from his back are chitinous crimson spines, while his tail coils fitfully, impatiently, upon itself. Twin heads snap at each other with juvenile antagonism, small mewls of irritation rumbling from both of the hydra's throats.
