Yay for hollow victories, right?
The real heroes were the ones throwing themselves suicidally today. Rave to the ones who tried hard, and for the youngin' who dared even say sorry for not being effective. The fact that he tried made him more than effective enough, especially the desire to try when he knew he couldn't hold a candle to the zerg. The fact that they maintain their spirit despite dying on prime and on ethereal (and praying) to players who are out to do nothing but ruin the game for others, makes me feel like at least there's a chance in the long run things can turn around.

If it makes you feel any better, Gaudiguch is almost deserted.

Yay for victories against a larger group + nexus powers + meld + shrine effects!
Rivius2012-03-31 06:09:41
Except that's not true at all. You must have been going off scent where a number of people never left the nexus.

Sure is great to hear that you can justify ruining the health of the game to yourself.
Unknown2012-03-31 06:30:38
Except that "your side" not faring so well does not equal "the game is unhealthy and is being ruined".
Unknown2012-03-31 06:31:40
Yay demonlord raids. Too many raids, too few raids, can't win.
Also, it's kind of amusing that during the rare occasions smobs go down, it's almost always supposedly done because the killers are mean griefers out to ruin the game.

Right. I forgot. Fun = Winning. The more you stomp your opponent, the more fun you have! Challenge does not enter the equation.

Except we didn't have an advantage. We were up against a larger group, nexus powers, shrines, a meld. And we still came out okay.

Says a member of the org that has been winning for the past four RL years. There is no way you can convince me that you didn't have an advantage. A morale advantage, if not a mechanical one.
Unknown2012-03-31 07:17:13
All right, so we have a morale advantage, whatever that's worth. You had the mechanical advantage. Cancel out, no advantage, woo. Still a victory.

Whatever strokes your , I guess.

Pretty sure Equinox had the advantage when Nil went down. I hate cosmicfire, damn you Equinox for making me hunt with it! -wavefist-
Rave for divine encouragement!

Congratulations to Team Awesome! You have managed to completely demoralize your enemies (or at least Magnagora) to the point of minimal resistance! You WIN Lusternia!

There, fixed all your mistakes.

I'm sure killing unenemied people on prime that weren't fighting was helping you guys get victory beating those evil demonlords :P
Unknown2012-03-31 13:51:08
That's getting really old.
Lehki2012-03-31 13:52:14
What victory are you talking about? You guys came in there, sat around for apparently hours since shrine effects were ENDING when I logged in. We were definitively still trying when you guys decided to leave. Is that a victory for you, fighting till you decide you want out? I say Seren wins there since you didn't actually do anything and you all got bored and left before we did. :P
EDIT: Also looking at your list of players... I never saw any Mags the whole time I was there! I only came in at the end. The numbers looked pretty much even the whole time I was around. Also quality over quantity anyway. <_<

Just give them their 'victory'. They want it that badly. It's disheartening to see how the real problems with conduct yesterday are being ignored and statements like "oh everytime we do this it's to grief huh? Whiners."
It's pretty clear to us at least that there were a few more actions going on that definitely were done for nothing more than to screw with players and make things crappy for them. I also think raiding demonlords of a city that's been more or less barren is pretty lame, takes no challenge whatsoever, and is laughable at best to consider yourselves superior players over such a hollow victory.
Also, you have to be downright stupid not to understand how you're hurting the health of the game. But we know you're just playing stupid.
It doesn't matter anyway. We've been dealing with you guys for 2+ years. We know you'll never get it.

This needs its own topic.
Not that I think discussion should stop, but it's obviously fallen out of the thread's concept.
