Viravain/Illuminati/Homunculi
I'm looking forward to getting into this IC, though we had a fun discussion about it on a clan last night. I've got a theory(s)...
Siam2010-12-06 20:49:03
For the longest time, I've been wanting to join Vira's order because of those homunculi.

Well, they allowed Hoaracle's invasion mob to be willowisps, so...
And Maylea's are dryads, and I assume Lisaera's are sylphs, so it's not without precedent.

I was pretty taken aback when this happened - had no idea it would trigger all that. (except for the iron ticket - that was coincidence)
Very awesome though.

They are.
I remember from raiding them.

Awesome wedding is awesome. Congrats to Shulamit and Pesukaru.
Shiri2010-12-07 08:21:24
The Seren gods' fae are all actually those things though. Homunculi are different. Maybe I'll have to wake up and go bug some competent Glooms for answers again.

Squee! Marriage so shiny! If sudden! I'll just...wear the gloves and boots and veil and stuff later, just like...whenever, heeeh! I was going to show the log of the wedding, but dang, I'm just looking, and it's insanely long (from my perspective)

Marriage is, indeed, shiny.
And very paperwork-heavy

That totally reminds me of the Nautical Almanac
Here's what it looks like. The similarity is scary.

The tables at the end were just "samples"; I've already published the first every-decade almanac that's really just like that. These kinds of ephemerical almanacs date back to Babylonian times, possibly as early as the Bronze Age since some of them have continuity to Sumerian names. Check out some of these.

You and your astro work!
Also, a rave for Lilian. She knows why.

As much as I dislike dying to a group of raiders (and, it was like watching the Keystone Cops reading over the log), it sure gave me a bunch of things to add to my combat system and keep in mind for the next defense.
