Lack of Raves III: The Ravening

by Casilu

Back to Common Grounds.

Double post, but I feel the admin should get some props about the event even if it's more sporadic than the complaints. I know I personally enjoy the forest fires (the big ones rather than the little ones - much easier to track and kill off the big spreads than to spot check each room) and even the temporary maluses of the plague and the angry critters.

I know that I personally feel bored when absolutely nothing happens, and I adore it when there're new outbreaks of bonecrushing things (albeit manageable by the highest levels, not to the point that even a group of higher level people can't take them) and mysterious goings on to get involved in.

Anyways, long post short, yay event. happy.gif

P.S. Envoy nudge goes here, please. Where is Viravira when the deadline is about to close in on us? sad.gif

I loooove the Paradigmatics third person views! wub.gif

Oh, and also, envoy nudge here as well. :nudge:

To go off what Xiel said, I know I haven't had to deal with as much of the event crap as some people, but I'm having fun, heh. This is my first event like this, I'm enjoying it. smile.gif It changes things up a bit, and you get to handle mass evacuations, separation from your normal group of people, teaming up with unlikely partners, it's just fun. Even the diplomacy drama that ensues.

laugh.gif God, it's obvious I'm new to this. Give me another year and I'll be properly bitter and frustrated.

Side-rave: Windtalk, you are finally mine. wub.gif

Thankfully most of the Shevats are still healthy, but now poor Daraius can't leave the family manse at all. He's got Phoebus beat on the contagion-paranoia front, and no obligation to help out novices. laugh.gif

Gonna be a lonely week, though.
Llesvelt2010-12-14 14:53:37
Most of the Shevats are still healthy because we do not usually associate with foreigners, those being, of course, the cause of the plague.

Because they are foreigners.

Also, rave:

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Hallifax seems to still be using the application form originating from my term as Minister. It makes me feel happy that something I had a hand in creating is still used today in the game, even if it is a rather little thing smile.gif

Yes, I for one have been locked in (in order) my office, my study in the manse, and the library in Elo's cathedral. At least I got some of my so-called librarianly duties done that I'd been meaning to do for ages.

And I'm really starting to get tired of not being infected, So Yeah. sad.gif It's sort of a letdown after the first part of the event, when I was actually taking part a lot.

Phoebus finally snapped, ripped off her gas mask, and joined up with the group searching for clues for the cure. Sacrifices for the Collective, people!

Hallifax seems to know how to actually handle an event. You all sound like you're having crazy fun.

Alas, they are mostly event newbies, so they have not suffered the pain of an event that screws you over.

I was in Celest, so I have learned to not really log in during events. It has served me well.

"Oh, piffle," you say in consternation.

Get infected! Join the madness! It's awesome. biggrin.gif

Alternatively, continue with the self-quarantine, stay uninfected, but be driven to madness (or enlightenment!) from half a year of social isolation. Hmm.

Gaining one essence by doing absolutely nothing while afk in a manse... It freaked me out laugh.gif

Last I heard, it takes 10 straight hours of repops to complete the first(?) stage alone. Considering how easy it is for other people to pop in in that timespan to bash the critters before you can, doubt that's going to happen soon. Not unless they wanna like...reduce the amount of critters needed per step, anyway.
Aerotan2010-12-15 01:33:13

Heh, yeah. I've tried, and only got to about five pits sealed. Then I woke up the next morning to find them all open and found better things to spend time on.
