For those who missed it:
Infected Ciarrus
No longer garbed in deer-skin and feathers, Ciarrus stands taller than he once
was, thanks to a pair of massive, chittinous legs. His sandy-fur has disappeared,
encased in a dense carapace of dull colours that is barbed wickedly and
dripping with foul fluids. His forearms have transformed as well, appearing more
like the raptorial legs of a mantis than the clawed, muscled arms of an aslaran.
Semi-translucent veins skitter and bulge along his thick neck, powerful muscles,
and segmented legs, throbbing intensely to the point of almost bursting.
Ciarrus' head rests at the top of his new alien body, his eyes retaining their
quality of constant movement. What has changed is his eyes shift sharply,
predatorily, as if he were on the hunt. Instead of his normal tail, Ciarrus
possesses a scorpion-like segmented tail that is surmounted with a barb poised
to strike.
Infected Quettle
Unlike his normal size and shape, Quettle reaches nearly twenty-four hands in
height with his insectoid, segmented legs and bulky frame. What was once light
golden hair has transformed into a dark grey carapace that is pierced by razor
sharp protrusions that ooze with an affuse of blood. Semi-translucent veins
skitter and bulge along his thick neck, powerful muscles, and chittinous legs,
pumping angrily to the point of almost bursting. Quettle's head rests on top of
his new alien body; however, his formerly warm, milky-brown eyes have been
replaced by straight-black pupils that gaze the world emptily. Dripping gore and
odious liquids spew from his ears, and a fang-encrusted orifice grows at the
centre of his chest. Instead of his normal tail, Quettle wags a scorpion-like
segmented tail that is surmounted with a barb poised to strike.
And I have no idea what this is, but I like:

From the crystal's bottom-most point, the frost collects into a glittering, impossibly beautiful
snowflake that detaches with a flare of ice-blue light, coming to rest in your hands.
You lucky little petunia! An iron ticket materializes in your hand!
Your karma rises in response to your deeds.
You gain a new honour!
The Hyperborean Crystal suddenly begins to splinter, spiderweb cracks forming along its surface
before it shatters into countless crystalline shards with a mighty crack, tumbling away into the pit
below.
Mister Frostono exclaims, "Oh goodness, oh gracious! Use the Snowflake to save poor Jolly Bundy!
Hurry - he hasn't much time!"
You put the Snowflake of Snoefaasia into a block of ice encasing a frozen gnome.
The surface of a block of ice encasing a frozen gnome begins to shift and melt, slow trickles
turning into fast runnels of water that disperse on the cold ground.
He has crafted the Snowflake of Snoefaasia upon Frosticia.

You quickly unwrap a twinkling white present, which sprays glittering silver dust and cheerful confetti into the air, and excitedly pull a golden paintbrush from within.

And
It is protected against fire, cold, electricity and magic.

I collared my thunderbird! Yay! He's the only beast I have that I would be utterly heartbroken if I lost. Also, now I only have to pay stable fees on four of my six beasts.

I haven't gotten anything yet but I can already feel that this is going to be the best Lusty solstice yet, with the events leading up to it too Only last thing to resolve is that money collection box at the nexus.

I just want to give a rave to the Lusternia admin as well as all the fun PCs who've I hung with this year. The last few months between the Anniversary and Christmas have been fun. I've really appreciated a lot of "little RP" moments I've had, especially the little mini-event with the Gnafia that foreshadowed everything. To be honest, I'm not planning to be involved with the major events and stick to keeping a lower profile by sweeping and social interaction. The main reason I involved myself with this one was because I felt sort of obligated (as well as curious and I also mean obligated in an entertaining sort of way) to see this one through as to what happened. (Though I've lost 6 levels thanks to this).
I wanted to point this out because I'm probably going to not be able to login after this evening for a few weeks. I need a break from the computer, as I do computer stuff for a living. So I may not see what finally happens with the "big bad". And I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I turned 41 today, and I wanted to say while I've enjoyed other RPG solo games like Dragon Age and other similar things--this is probably the best RPG experience I've had.

You will be missed in the time you are away Tully, but this event indeed may have caused some prolonged play periods and stress on people, so take that break =) Thanks for all your help and for always sticking to Tully's old antics and character, regardless of whatever's happening!
and Happy Birthday!

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Your RP has always been fantastic for all the years that I've played and how my RP has evolved. (and at some point or another Tully and my characters have met with the exception of maybe one or two) So, thank you. Your antics have always brought a smile to my face.

I admit I hated certain parts of this event, and tried to avoid it at first, but the release of aetherspace conflict has removed most of the bad from this event. Admin so much from me to you right now. I loved Nexus weakenings, and this is similar, but seems way more awesome.

I have to admit, the set-up at the end of the event with the machines was pretty nifty.
