Which honestly is hardly necessary. If you're allied with people who are monks, just trust that they'll assist you when it matters. Honestly, I think this is being blown out of proportion on both sides. A little perspective would be useful.

Having a monk is nice, yes. But Hallifax won't die without one.

Also note: this was a proposal made by two citizens, not created by the Board. It's an idea floating around, not something we're all adamantly backing.

My first thought was "This is ridiculous." My second was "Isn't Daraius a monk? They've totally got a monk already, this is stupid."

I kinda thought the stupid came from Serenwilde more than Hallifax, personally.

He doesn't fight. Thus, no one deems him the Hallifax Monkinator.

This is true. My statements there did not perhaps clearly show that. This whole things seems like something Hallifax thought about doing that has been latched onto as some kind of lifeline for the Shofangi, which is ludicrous to any rational person.

I just want to say that I really enjoy the Artifact Bandit promotion. Gives you a taste of power, making you want to buy the artifacts, and is a ton of fun. Good job to whomever thought it up!

I asked Ircria about the possibility because a citizen asked about the possibility. In my asking, I never intended it to turn into a huge referendum, meeting, council talk, etc. I just wanted to kind of feel the situation out.

It is all about the skills, I was 100% forthright about it being about the skills. Hallifax doesn't care about Serenwilde culture, we care about efficiency. Having a monk would make us more efficient.

Enter a few other Hallifaxians who want to try to shuck and jive their way into making Serenwilde agree to it by swearing it's not about the skills but about the culture and spirituality and whatnot, then .

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure that they just spawn. After all, they wouldn't make very good bandits if they announced their presence to the world.
