Not really bug abuse to kill a raider, is it.

Depends on the circumstance. In this instance, I'd say "no".

Apparently, they managed to push him into the Nexus multiple times, and that at least is a bug, even if the homunculus one isn't.

Well yeah sure, when all you're doing is driving them out.

Shouldn't be able to push him into a Nexus. Please bug this.
It's hardly bug abuse considering that they a) may not have realized that that would be the result and B ) you raid, you have the chance of dying.

Once, yeah. Twice due to Vitae/Lich/something else like it, sure.
He died 18 times at a go due to currents pushing him into the Pool. That's not even counting the times he died to actual players killing him due to lack of defenses.
That said, he's bugged it, so maybe this topic should stop here.

Oh, ouch. I didn't know the death count was that high, I thought people were reposting it. My bad, sorry!
That really sucks.

I'm tempted to start playing MKO again. I'm so ashamed, but things seemed to have gotten slightly better .
Nydekion2010-12-07 21:25:38
No one was pushed onto the nexus, actually. When he died, he somehow spawned at the nexus and the guards put in their two cents. Currents didn't play a part as there was no aqua meld at or near the Pool for that defense.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I'm guessing he was resurrected where his homunculus was standing, but it shouldn't've kept triggering the resurrection after that first time. It maybe shouldn't resurrect you right where the homunculus stands, either, but maybe that's the downside to the entity.
Unknown2010-12-07 22:01:10
It reminds me of how the spire in Harmonics didn't used to give grace when you were resurrected by it, which ended with Prav dying about four(?) times in rapid succession because he'd just die>come back in the same spot>die.
Lendren2010-12-07 23:08:29
So maybe homonculus-resurrection also should just give a brief grace.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at.
Rika2010-12-07 23:22:26
I said this about what happened to Prav as well. Everyone knew it was a bug. Just because it was not confirmed as a bug, it doesn't make it any less abuse.
Unknown2010-12-07 23:24:52
I don't know if "bug" is the right word to use to describe it. It's more of just an oversight. Like, "oops, in hindsight we really should have thought of that, let's change it real quick." For all intents and purposes, it's working as intended, just the way it's intended to work has a big problem in it.

I don't think so. The spire is the equivelant of the fleshmound, eg you die on your guardian plane you resurrect at it.
Also I don't think grace would help since grace does not stop guards. Really what needs to happen is that the homonculus gets consumed when you reform. Or if it is really intented to survive a reformation make us reactivate it with some command.
Unknown2010-12-07 23:38:40
Just make it so when you rez from the homunculus, you have to HOMUNCULUS IMBUE (for power) again before it'll rez you once more. Like the eco bonds. This skill is more like liching than getting resurgemed, IMO.
