Wish #4092: Let shrines be in org territories only!

Divine orgs included naturally, yarr.

Alternatively, just remove invasion.

As much as I hate shrines being used as org weapons in anything other than a full on order-vs-order slugfest, I do have to praise Lorina for not keeping me enemied to Eventru after the domoth fight. Having enemy statuses thrown on for fights is par for the course, but I'm not used to them coming back off after their usefulness has ended.

I refuse to do that for Raezon. Of course, I also refuse to enemy for purely mechanical reasons, and "so the shrine works" is sad sad excuse to order enemy, even if it's retracted later.

Hey, I was enemied to Raezon so that I could be hit by shrines in the Catacombs...

Not by me, and enemy reason is "defiling on Bottledowns." Not going to say you're lying (if you know the person who did it, you'll understand), but Catacombs is a bit far from Bottledowns.

Yes, I know the person who did it, and I understand completely. Heh.

I did end up defiling a bit, that shrine in the Catacombs was bloody annoying when it hit you and you had to work to even get at it. Ugh. Gravity & Catacombs & Distort == unpleasant combination. Even worse now that you can't transverse with distortion up.

The Bottledowns thing was a fair bit later, during last year's Harmony challenge when he put shrines up on all the aetherbubbles. Not quite sure why the text would be for that, though, unless he had just re-enemied me (for a while the game let you re-enemy an enemy). Who knows, I just know it first started in the Catas.

At least the "had to work to even get at it" is no longer a problem - shrine influence in inaccessible rooms should cease to exist after a bit, and I don't think any of the closed-off areas are big enough to support a decent shrine on their own.

That is true. There are a couple that will let you get up to 9 rooms sanctified plus the shrine, but it's not as bad as it was in that respect.

I'm still an enemy of Terentia because we didn't finish defiling from the Domoth until a minute after the Domoth stage was done, so it was removed and re-added with the new reason. Hey, if your shrine attacks a group, expect it to be dusted. The enemy status means nothing to me otherwise because it's not like I go traipsing around Terentia's realm, but the "mechanics > RP" thing is lame.
Sylandra2011-01-08 22:05:05
What's especially difficult I think is for orgs that don't really get a lot of Divine enemying. Lord Elostian doesn't exactly have an enemylist, last I heard. So while we have shrines on Continuum and Air and they're awesome, they aren't able to attack anyone. And it's been pointed out to Hallifax time and time again "You really need to utilize shrines better." So while RP is fancy and all, mechanics do play a part. sad.gif

The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Mortals, prepare yourselves! The
Nine Seals have weakened and Kethuru rages within his prison, seeking to be free of it. The Fate of
the Basin lies in the hands of each and every one of you, as only mortals can strengthen the Seals
once more!"

Wooo!

With a heavy overhand stroke, Ixion slams an unadorned darksteel rapier down upon you. Ixion cleanly
hacks off your scalp, and blinding pain and blood reverberates across your entire head.
The blade shears through your body before coming clean through the other side with a strangely quiet
swish, momentarily surprising you with its force, before you feel distinctly unwell and collapse to
the ground.
You have been slain by Ixion.
You become visible once more.
You come back into focus as the blur illusion vanishes.

I hope I made them lag with the hamsters dropped. >_>

From my point of view, that hamsterhunt looked... kind of boring, actually.

Just a guess, but maybe it's the hundreds of hamsters plaguing the Basin?
