I don't want to start an argument, and I honestly have no vested interest in this (didn't play the event, never intended to), but I was wondering about that divine portal on Muud. Are those supposed to be allowed during such events?
Llesvelt2011-02-07 05:41:00
I could totally lead Hallifax, I as a player would have no problem with it.

Probably won't become a goal of my character just yet, unless some stuff happens.
Unknown2011-02-07 05:58:01
I feel like fighting down in Muud qualifies as playing in the event.

That portal probably wasn't meant to be there, but it's all fair considering both sides (ab)used it.

Right, because we spent the entire event trying to figure out how veneration portals were allowing everyone to do that in distort at the same time we were using the portal.
Xiel2011-02-07 06:12:55
My, the selective memory on some people who wound up using the portal to get through to the end of Muud at the verrrryyyy beginning of the fight and insist they didn't use it later on.
Unknown2011-02-07 06:15:06
Considering that the portal lead to Elostian's realm, I really, really, really don't think it was Glomdoring OR Celest that opened it up and used it first biggrin.gif

P.S. 700 points is a pretty hefty lead.

I left right before the event started. I was there to help with the pre-event defiling/sanctification. :|

Bond unite/pyramid solve = using a portal that wasn't supposed to be there?
Unknown2011-02-07 06:20:33
If you're referring to me, I entered Muud once. It was through Duum.

These accusations are analogous to accusing two people of being siblings when both, in fact, aren't and know all their brothers and sisters. It's insulting.

No bond and the month just hit 1, sorry. You're not quite as free of using the portal as you'd like to think.

Edit: Best clarify this. Later on and individuals? Sure, bond and pyramid or port and moonbeam. Your initial group, not so much.
Unknown2011-02-07 06:23:33
Hey, again, that portal lead to the temple/godrealm of a realm unaffiliated with Glomdoring or Celest. I am pretty sure you guys are smart enough to know that there's no way we can be that friendly with Elo, especially now wink.gif Personally, I'd ask your Halli buddies what happened there.

Though, I think everyone involved is well aware of how people Play The Game. This is no different.

Are you telling me you probed every single room to see if there was a tracking hound?

I was following Ixion the entire time and I am 100% sure we entered through the pool. He even set a new pyramid point at the entrance.

Now, are you honestly saying none of you saw us enter through spectacles and didn't scent to see that we were at the entrance, rather than where the portal was?

Right. Because enemy territory (I doubt most of you are enemied anyway) would prevent it.

We never said Elo put it up for you guys or intended to help. I'm laughing that you're defending an accusation that never and won't happen.

It was also obvious that Hallifax wasn't championing their own winner, and as you said, Halli has no interest in helping you all.

Next excuse?
Unknown2011-02-07 06:30:50
What excuse are we trying to make again?

All I heard was we were being lame by using the portal and all I've said is that you guys used it too.

Maybe you should ask for another redo, eh.
Lothringen2011-02-07 06:32:41
I feel like this should've been issued (by either side) immediately upon discovery, but I'm afraid the mentality is, more often than not, "Hey, let's use this!" instead of "Uh, this isn't right..."

Hey, in case we weren't clear enough: We never used that portal.
Unknown2011-02-07 06:35:18
And in case I wasn't clear enough: We didn't open it. -> This means one of you guys opened it -> Which means that one of you guys used it.

Unless you really wanted to open one up and NOT use it to throw us off, then I salute you sir, well played, you have confused us.

Also, this is your fault Rivius.

How did you think I found where the portal was when we wanted to know how people got through to the necrotroph area so quickly through gravity and a new month? I scent when the big group enters and, lo and behold, people weren't at the beginning of Muud, but already in the middle.

Sorry, but trying to stay on the 'we never used it' route doesn't work.

Alternatively, it was a bugged permanent divine portal that wasn't meant to be there in the first place.
