The really awesome thing about the IRE website is that you can reply to messages as well as read them. I worship at the alter of whoever built in that feature!

I like when Phoebus gets the opportunity to do things besides stand around and be vaguely silly when someone actually bothers to talk to her. Logging in, reading the city logs, and going "lol wtf is this " generally leads to some interesting RP.

Not a rave because while I enjoy the interactions, getting into arguments with people, even fake ones, is still somewhat mentally exhausting.

EDIT: P.S., please someone teach me how to initiate social interactions. Seriously, all I do is stand in a high traffic area and wait for someone to talk to me first. But everyone always just assumes I'm afk or something usually, I think. I want to talk to you!! But only if you talk to me first. o_o People are scary.

As someone walks in the room, be it high traffic or no, use the hi emote! Works wonders on occasion.

Greeting folks, saying hello, bowing, take a look at them and comment on what they're wearing. Sometimes just sighing works, someone might ask what's wrong. Just throw a random observation out there and see if anyone in the room picks it up. And, if someone around you does any of that or something similar, they're prolly lookin for a conversation too, so don't feel odd about starting one up with them.

Incline (Target)

You will usually get an Incline or Bow in return.

My tactic with people:

Talk about something you think is interesting. If people are bored, they will leave. If people are interested or just gluttons for punishment, they will comment. If they are just humoring you, they'll know to ignore you in the future. If, however, someone was actually interested they will give you another chance to be eccentric and bizarre in the future.

Or something vaguely like that. I talk a lot.

I wish there were more "war" type fights, instead of the current brawls and standoffs. More room for actual strategy and outthinking your opponent.
