My anti-burnout drug: sitting out the Domoth battles. If they want to meta-game that hard, I see no reason to throw my life away and get myself all riled up over it.

How do you metagame domoth fights.

Get there early (and I want to know if it was a lucky guess, or if they really do know where it pops out beforehand), set up the meld, raise the shrine effects, dig the pits, ???, lulz.

That's not really metagaming, that's just preparing well.

There's no way to know where it will pop beforehand, but if you have bubblixes everywhere and a dedicated tracker, you can find them fairly quickly.

If they want the domoth that much, they can have it. It's just a domoth. -.- The only lame thing is that shrines become a resource war with esteem, which is annoying to say the least.

I don't understand such complaints when every org can do roughly the same thing. And that aside, SW certainly isn't lacking in ascendants or allies so...problem?

I still don't think it's metagaming whenever another group prepares to steal a domoth.

The only actually metagamey thing whenever it comes to pvp related events is raiding/domothing/etc when you know there's no one from x org or the super popular AIM summon. Everything else is fair game IMO.

It is like pulling teeth to get more then a small handful in SW to do :censor:. I'll look for people to do something for like 10 minutes and get 1 or 2 responses, then I get bored and log off.

Pretty sure you just described about every org. It's always the same people doing things.

Well I don't know, I've never bothered looking at other orgs. I guess I just see other peeps doing raids on god realms/ethereal/cosmic/villages regularly enough, and I can usually get some people to show up for defense or faethorn skirmishes, but actually getting Serens to ever start something in force, like once in a blue moon.

But whatever, I have enough fun on my suicide solo antics. One of these days I'll actually get around to acquiring a pile of esteem to bring instead of just whatever handful of corpses I have on hand when I start prodding shrines.

Heh. I agree. I think the last time SW did a raid, it was just Kolm, Lilian and I attacking aspects and leaving. Iasmos comes sometimes too if we don't catch him right before he has to leave. Whenever we asked "any willing combatants want to help us raid?" we got cool responses like "why raid when you can't handle the backlash?!".

It's only the same people I can manage to get to do suicidally stupid but fun things, and show a little backbone sometimes. It's not that we don't have strong fighters or anything either. We actually have some ridiculous levels of talent there. vOv
