I read the new announce when I first woke up, and thought it said you're not allowed to have different characters at all in the same org, but then I reread it and it's active characters. Phew.
Sometimes you just want to try out a neat new guild and the alt sits in the dust when you're done.

How odd. I wonder what prompted that change.

Something that has had a lot of changes to the way elections are done before I would imagine.

Man, our Cwho is going to be lonely now. Also, who was 's alt other then Erane?
Malicia2010-11-05 10:24:58
So glad for the latest announce.

I'm already starting to regret trying to create the scavenger hunt.

I got two cityfavours. Thanks Inagin and Isabela! <3

In the past 11 (real life) months, every single Gaudiguch city election has resulted in at least 3-4 new shrubberies. This time there's a mass quit log of nobodies. There is just something about Gaudiguch elections that make people crazy.

Wow. That really makes me want to step in and do something. But...I won't.
This time around they seem to have good candidate(s).

Makes me so glad I moved my alt to a new org.
But it also feels kinda weird, one chara I'm defending, the other I'm raiding. >.>

Bleh, not gonna do quests for a while. Died like five times because an aggressive mob spawns/falling into mob pits while trying to complete quests.

It is next to impossible to get anybody to do anything. I always place in city contests because I'm one of like three people who bother participating in events. So if the scavenger hunt is like any other event, you'll have two or three participants and everyone will win a prize.

Wait it is adviced right, with a thing that if you can seperate them you can keep playing them both (for example I never ever vote for the same people with my alts). I mean if they want to banish active ones I would very much like a limited time/one time forget skills without penalty thing to move a current active one to another organisation. Probably be a good idea either way actually.
Malicia2010-11-05 13:30:30
I think you're fine, so long as you can do it well. That is, avoid joining the same family or voting for the same person in elections. I'm glad for the clarification because it was absolutely rampant in Celest for a time. You'd have one person using their alts to enact change/vendettas against another player.

Take your main there if you are that interested in the new guild(s).
and there needs to be more drama and griefing. that is all.

Doing a quest only to have one of the items that actually requires a long chain of actions to poof seconds before handing it in to finish the quest.

No, I don't tend to do that because often it's not worth losing everything I've worked for without any idea of what to expect. Hence an alt.
My main may vote (Mieari, Dylara, and Diamondais are the only mains I've had and maintained), but I absolutely refuse to join families that my mains are part of or participate in events I have promoted on my main or the politics of the city if I already have a main there.
This does not stop me from wanting a different viewpoint that I cannot get on my main due to reputation or uncertainty.
If I like it, alt retires until purge, if I don't.. alt retires until purge!
Silly old characters and having baggage.

Just because a person as a player is interested in a Guild does not mean that the character is, yaknow.

For someone who's going to need to make a substantial investment by moving, it doesn't hurt to take a quick peek and see if it's worth it, first.

The first comment was half way joking. I took Ayisdra to Hallifax instead of alting, retransed my trade (alchemy to Enchantment) and nearly trans Aero. I also got up 600 lessons into highmagic for enchantment things. (I keep runes and Illusions is meh to me).
I then returned to Glomdoring for reasons that I didn't really like minor things here and there. I then retrans my trade again (back to alchemy). got back up to cudgel in druidry and bonding in Crow.
Could I have saved those 2k some lessons from forgetting and relearning (this was before skillflexing too...)? Yes I could. but I don't like alting at all. Any time I tired I have not got pasted the intro tour before getting bored of the character. so i made the choice to take my only character to Hallifax (part of me knew I probably wouldn't have stayed but still).

I sometimes wonder what it means, in-character, to be Cultural Centre. I've decided it means that, culturally, you're the America of the Basin, i.e. right now everyone's singing the latest hits ("I'm Dreaming of a Totalitarian Holiday Season," by Bing Kk'rosby) and eating Indentured Servant Burgers at McCririk's. I have yet to decide whether this is a good or bad thing.
