IMHO it's a good thing, because cultural centres have existed for centuries before America did.
Furien2010-11-05 16:36:11
Maybe if you shoot for the Renaissance Italy image of Culture Center people won't hate you quite as much for being America.
(Because we already hate Gaudiguch for being America anyways.)

Besides, most people outside America doesn't consider American cultured anyway.

Bad luck with disconnects, trying to join is going to have to wait.
Edit: Yes, this was something else originally, but I misread the post I'd quoted!

Yeah, but America is not really very dominant in a high-culture way in the world of today, I think, still.
So reason to comment.
I think its better to equate it with countries with big damn arts movements and such.

Be quiet and eat your Hallifaxian Fried Pigeon with Chairman Adom's 11 secret herbs and spices.
Furien2010-11-05 17:53:34
It starts off as a big, vomity block of text, infighting, people being dumb, people rolling obvious alts trying to innocently pander support towards the Ama'rua.
It ends with a bunch of news posts where the aforementioned dumb people get backhanded, Munsia gets recitizened, and I lament how ruined Gaudiguch's potential has become from the nostalgic perspective of an ex-Grand Cipher.
No, it's still not over. Enjoy. I need to go stare wistfully at a wall or something.
Unknown2010-11-05 18:24:23
You make it sound so much more depressing.
It's a pity that not everyone can read those diaries about Alin'dor. I only managed to read them cause I had herofete, health blessing, reimagined con, chaotesign, and was using healing scrolls for every sandworm. By the way, those diaries were awesome, I really wanted to read more and was pretty sad that I ran out of sandworms.
And yeah, Kalikai's awesome, you know she's working behind the scenes, but when compared to the passion Elostian has for Hallifax... yeah, not a fair comparison.
Edit: And yeah, Munsia. Eh, with the whole group moving out, who's left to help on the combat side? I'm struggling to even think of an Illuminati combatant who can teach combat, because the previous Champion got ousted, the first Champion will be ousted soon, the latest Champion left the guild and the only candidate running is a fairly new kid. Oh, and don't forget that I'm the head of the combat path, whee!
Edit2: Oh oh oh, and let's see who's our only active Protector around... DUM DUM DUM, it's Seneth!

Same, I have to take breaks to clean, cook dinner or look at something else, and I'm still not able to just sit down and read it.
