Have you seen Vortex defense? It's woeful. I'm sure it'll work again.

Exiting that valve into an unbreakable position sucks. *sage*
Razenth2011-03-01 00:46:31
Well yes that, but also, the organizational defensive ability of Gaudiguch is woeful. I'm sure Nyd could set up a shrine on Vortex in 30 minutes without anyone noticing or without anybody being able to really do anything about it.

Not that he would have any reason to of course.
Unknown2011-03-01 00:46:36
I actually have this theory that if hallifax (until mag/seren arbitrarily decide to ditch gaudi) decide to go for pots, vortex's territble layout will work for them (gaudi), since all the defenders have to do is hole up in the falls.
Ushaara2011-03-01 00:53:22
In any case, I found the whole thing very entertaining. The fact that Gaudi had nothing to do with it, the running off to the plex to buy essence mid-raid, cluelessly trying to find places I could defile, etc. Even the gathering of essence after was amusing. smile.gif

Race change already! biggrin.gif

I want to, but at the same time I don't want to. sad.gif I'll miss my delicious ego, and I need concrete confirmation on my languages.

I think this will only be resolved if the Divine lay out the law on on how their shrines are to be used.

They'd have to all do it together, or (as with most things) everyone will be forced to be as jerkish as the most jerkish, in order to keep up. Given how about half of them are dormant, we're a lot more likely to have Estarra have a change of heart on the shrines-should-be-weapons-not-religious-items, orders-should-be-army-companies-not-religions idea. Which is to say, not likely at all.

Like, one person can activate our war shrines. sad.gif

This information is incorrect, invasion is bestowed somewhere near the end of my middle order. I may have had semi-pacifistic tendencies in the past (in fact, still do on a personal level), but Prav has set up enemy and shrine procedures for city defense as I fully well understand that a city without shrines is a city with a natural handicap.

If you feel the procedures are insufficient , speak with Prav, as he is much better able to handle such things than I am in my lofty ivory tower in haven.

Wrote a play/sketch in 45 minutes Kalikai better lurves it.

Man, what?

I totally remove myself from Lusternia and forums for what, not even a week now, to do other things.

Come back;
spheres dead
blizzard event
win scholarly with underwhelming score
gaudiguch partying
something about spheres in the sky?
matrix was drained

How many pages of tweets do I have left to read until I figure out what's going on. :X

edit: five?!
Malicia2011-03-01 16:08:36

Mage powerrrrrrr. I'll just have to make fun of you for being a Dreamweaver. It's like a hazing.

In my perfect fantasy world, runist and telepathic mages are far more plentiful. It seems like 90% of people go Dreamweaving or TK! I originally wanted to be a TP, but...I also wanted to be able to hunt. My fragile trill body just can't handle it, so I went TK for forcefield. Go go ego!

A Dreamweaving Aquamancer was the very first character I made, and the very reason why I started playing Lusternia! Too bad a combination of factors meant that I didn't enjoy that character, but I'm so glad I gave the Shadowdancers a chance. happy.gif

And your second statement can only be true if 89% of mages are TK. laugh.gif I've seen maybe two dreamweavers (one each from Gaudiguch and Halliax!) ever since moving to Gaudiguch.

Yes that sounds about right. At least that many have Psionics anyway.

Aaaaaand, I remember how much I hate the wait while learning from Novice to Transcendent. And I have to do it three times. sad.gif

Active Dreamweavers I know of:
Tulemrah
Caerulo.

There are dreamweavers in the Aquas, but they're neither active or active combatants.
There are some Telepaths, just not many compared to TKs.
I had to convince Aeral to switch to TP by talking about its sweet group destructive power.
Though the number of TPs is actually pretty balanced in the Aquas.
6 TPs vs 8+ TKs.
There are 2 active TP Geos combatants from what I've seen, Revan and Jinto do pop up sometimes.
Only can remember Ridley and Alban who are TPs in the Aeros, all others are TKs from what I can remember, sans Tulemrah.
Only can remember one TP in Pyros, rest are TK from my knowledge.

TK has both defensive and offensive capabilities in comparison to TP which is all offensive. Back when mindblast actually did damage a lot of people were TP, but then it got nerfed. sad.gif
Unknown2011-03-01 17:45:00
Surprise! Your first list matches with my list of two dreamweavers 100%. laugh.gif
Jayden2011-03-01 17:45:40

But at least you can now wear this Caerulo!

That's because most of our Dreamweavers are, you guessed it! Non-combatants. We actually have a fairly high amount in the Aeromancers, you just probably won't see them anywhere near a fight. suspicious.gif The majority of our novices these days pick Dreamweaving.
