Every weekend, without fail, I start a designing project and get sidetracked. Eeevery weekend.
I feel your pain. I've yet to design my new splendors that I need, but I still keep starting random designs that I can't even make/use.

If you want the skills for another archetype in m&m, you have to pay 30 more credits.

That's ridiculous. Just make your own aliases for your skills, it's not very difficult at all.

It doesn't cover offensive aliases, just defenses and things like Contort and such.

I really don't know how all the work I've done and still do goes unnoticed, really. I created a quarter of the GHELP scrolls and edited the rest. I re-did the advancement so that when we do get the occasional novice the amount of work doesn't scare them. I help those novices every time, often taking out of my own schedule to do so. I'm even known to hold the informal guildrite on occasion just because we don't really get them that often due to a lack of membership. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to go asking for a guildhonor, and just because you are the 'Bureaucratic Minister', it doesn't mean you get to ignore everything that isn't presented on your desk in triplicate.

I don't think Llesvelt is trying to imply that, just a simple nod saying "oh yeah, I did this" goes a long way. Trust me when I say it's really easy to miss when people have done things, especially when they don't speak up or nobody speaks up for them.

Yeah, sorry, but I am not psychic. I think it is a bit unfair to expect me to be. It has nothing to do with signing in triplicate or anything silly like that, I just plain don't know what people do most of the time.

Yeah, that usually happens when people tell us or we see it happen, which is why someone needs to tell if we do not see it happen.
I can't see it in the logs if it is not something that is logged by the game, it does not just magically appear in my head whenever people do something in the guild.

Not really. Everyone fights differently, and it'd have to account for attacks for every guild, and he puts tools in that can help make it easier for people.

You can call it a scam when someone comes forward and says "Vadi said it did this, and I bought it, and it didn't, and he didn't refund me!" Until then it's just how he does business.

They are people just the same as you, you know. Things do slip through the cracks, yes, if nobody is getting noticed for anything then you have a problem, but if you or someone else isn't putting your name forward or making it obvious.. how would a guild leader know?
Keep in mind the you is not directed at you, it is a general you, and no, I'm not making excuses for people if they're clearly not doing their job. We're all playing the same game, it's easy to see similar situations elsewhere, newbie doesn't speak up about what they've completed, older person is less likely to notice and give praise, newbie spends the full time in novicehood (I am so guilty/lazy about this, oh lots of hours in novicehood for me).

Personally, I love me some convenience. I will happily pay quite a bit to indulge myself. It's my free time, after all.

Diamondais is wise and speaks truth. Guild leaders try their best to know what goes on, but frankly if nobody tells us/them, it can be very very very easy to miss things. This is not because anyone is being a bad leader, it is the way things are. When I was in your position I always used to send my guild leader a short message saying something like "GHELP POTATOPARTY has been updated to reflect the usage of vegetable oil." Takes like five seconds and suddenly the person with the power to give you rewards beyond your wildest dreams knows your sacrifice.
General tip: If your character is demure and doesn't like to be self-aggrandizing, phrase the message as a "report" in the most neutral language possible. Use the passive voice (like above) and don't mention yourself. This always helped me, anyway, as it allows the message to sound more like a "hey, this was done, don't worry about getting someone else to do it" thing than a "lookatmelookatme I did this give me a GF NAO" thing.

I personally think guild and city logs should update when changes have been made to the help files, small but useful.
Yes, I know the scrolls show when they were last updated, but man, reading every scroll (and some places have tons!) every day to see if changes have been made is.. scary!

I find the 'lookatmelookatme, look at what I've done' types to be annoooooying. If anyone asks me for a cityfavour again, I will shriek.
