There's always something else to achieve/acquire in Lusternia.

This. I'm like the opposite of you, Phoebus, I have too many things I want to achieve, and I try to do them all, which overwhelms me at times. ohmy.gif

And then you do none of them most of the time!

Played my alt for a little over an hour-ish. Realized my problem with Phoebus is, well...there's nothing left for me to get, mechanics-wise. I'm a demigod, have a manse, pretty much omni-trans, I don't need gold, I can't get anymore guildranks or cityranks, I've explored basically everywhere that's not guildhalls or other super secret areas. And I'm terrible at motivating myself to reach my own goals, so I tend to stick to ones that are reinforced. I was working on getting enough essence for a second tradeskill, but ugh. UGHHHH.

Raid!! I have recently taken this up, and it is a blast!

I'm not really too big into raiding. I'll tag along on one every now and again for kicks, but that's about it. confused.gif

This is an unfortunate outlook, especially for a guild leader.

Sounds like Hallifax needs an overhaul with fresh leadership all around.
Vadi2011-03-14 18:06:27
But they just overhauled their politics... that was fast :|

I think a lot of the leadership right now consists of people who naturally gravitated to the positions from playing frequently since Hallifax's release. There aren't many candidates to take on those roles aside from the people that have them now, imo.

Hurray, my plate and helm designs are approved.

Appearance:
a composite suit of black diamond fullplate
Dropped:
Finished to an exquisite lustre, a composite suit of black diamond fullplate rests here.
Examined:
Wrought from tempered darksteel, this sleek plate has been coated with a
chatoyant enamel. Embossing the nigrescent alloy in fluid light, diamond
fibres have been polymerised with the steel to reinforce its durability.
Masterful craftsmanship leaves the suit form-fitting and pliable on the
wearer, allowing for ease of movement and dynamic flexibility. Elegant
pauldrons meet the rerebraces with garlands of finely layered plate,
reaching to encase the wearer's arms in stygian gauntlets. The cuirass
and plackart bond seamlessly, finally merging with the sollerets to
create an immaculate transition of jet black steel. Shards of black
diamond serve as the only embellishment on this suit, set against the
breast in an ornate mandala plaque. Affording great protection and
agility, this fullplate is flawless in its uniformity.

Appearance:
a composite helm of black diamond
Dropped:
Left to lose its glossy sheen, a composite helm of black diamond sits here.
Examined:
Forged from murky darksteel, the blackened metal of this helm shines
with a lustrous veneer. Diamonds have been synthesised with the alloy
for augmented shock resistance, absorbing impact effortlessly. The
convex interior bears two holes for eyes, creating a swarthy metallic
mask that obstructs the features. Sleek and consummate, the filigree
cageguard swirls into a geometric lattice that provides ventilation and
artistic complexity. Brought to the collarbone, a flared gorget encases
the neck in pitch-black steel to further protect its wearer. Along the
circumference of the throat, black diamonds have been inlaid - their
glinting facets etched into a mandala crest piece. Masterly crafted,
this incredibly durable helm offers extensive insurance to the crown.

Nice, quite nice.

Three of the five supernal designs were accepted. That's good. Now to work on these bottles depicting the Celestian Pantheon, and hope to god they don't keel me. Meer. I know at the very least, I can make a Lord Lyreth one. And maybe a Lord Eventru (it was agreed among us mortals, asking and then getting a favour most likely means yes, you can). As pointed out by Lord Lyreth, Lady Isune can't say no, soooo, there's another one, but...no word from Lady Terentia. And I even sent Her a dragon saying roar! to try and motivate Her to come down and kill me so I could ask.

But, journals accepted, right right. They're...nice, I suppose. It brings the cartel up to 20, at least, meer. Back to designing!

Hey, I specified mechanically. Guild leader stuff is totally not mechanically.

But honestly, I get in slumps like this from time to time. It always goes, as soon as I feel like maybe I should quit, I become magically motivated and do a crapload of work the next night. laugh.gif I am confident I'll pull myself out of this soon. Soonish.
Talan2011-03-14 19:33:22
I'm feeling very envious of those who have designs approved.
Shulamit2011-03-14 19:33:54
Don't be. I'm only telling you about the ones that stop pending. Not the ones that are making my pending list way too long sad.gif

It seems like if a design is perfect the first time, it goes very quickly (which is great)...but if anything needs to be revised, then it is never reviewed again. I see your sad.gif and raise you a losewings.gif
Shulamit2011-03-14 19:43:34
It's the lottery. I gave up trying to understand. I run my things through a checker (which won't tell me if I misspell a word to another, correct word though :/). Now I just submit, cross my fingers, and say come on, designs pending! Let at least one stop pending. I had twelve in there at one point for the very longest time. Meer. I could have a lot in there, if I used all the cartels. Gold costs say no sad.gif As for uhm, that...sad angel thingy. I give you a hug! And the reminder that you have a purty vial that looks like you. *true*
Unknown2011-03-14 19:48:22
I remember my IC wedding being delayed because the dang dress took like two weeks to get approved. I've had designs sit pending FOREVER, to the point where two weeks would have been magically fast, but that one sticks in my head because I needed it for something and it just wouldn't go through. And all because my copy/paste into the editor cut out a freakin' apostrophe! "Smart quotes" my arse. Last time I design in Word. Notepad all the waaaay.
Shulamit2011-03-14 19:51:06
I...didn't get to wear my wedding clothes. Except the dress. *shakefist at lyreth* Super fast weddings! My gloves, choker, shoes, and veil were all still pending. To get things right, I uhm. Write it up in nexus editor. Copy paste that to a different program, correct, copy back, make sure the lines aren't going to go nuts.
