So in over four hours it only got down by 2000 tops? Keep in mind, Hallibirds lost that much in less than 30 minutes.

I thought someone said they hadn't even had a chance to get their shield back up to full? What was it at and what is it at now?

If it's that much then it does sound buggy.

Was at ~3000, now ~1000.

Yeah, that does seem like rather much.
Lilia2011-04-24 05:52:56
Yeah, that's just from turning them in. We haven't gotten a regular attack yet.

Less than ~1000, or do you mean the gap between those values should be smaller?

Bug it if you think it's a bug.

It's less than ~1000.

EDIT: It's possible that one of the periodic attacks came while I was off-plane or something, though.

The fact that you can lose more motes from getting them turned in than 2/3 Avatars attacking for four (?) hours suggests that something is off.

You make it sound like someone is refuting you here. huh.gif

Can the credits given to the top ten please be made bound. Because if they are, it will hopefully stop the constant making of alts to farm the 1-60 tier and denying the people who can actually use the credits from winning.
Rika2011-04-24 08:36:11
The credits gained on one character cannot be shared between characters anyway.

Not from contests like Great Hunts, Ascension, etc. Elsewise we would make them bound credits.

is this your intrepetation or that of Estarra?

I always figured they weren't bound so you could sell them for gold, but since your ability to participate in great hunts and ascension events is linked to your character's RP/Org it would fall under help seconds.
Kiradawea2011-04-24 10:00:08
Transfering credits from an alt to your main earned in a contest such as Greathunt would be a violation of Seconds, so don't worry.

I distinctly remember having this very conversation with Estarra before, and that was the decision. If people are competing on 'newbie' alts, fine - but they certainly won't win on their mains (and will be competing against everyone else on newbie alts).

Seems like the more important question is whether they count as OOC or IC credits.

If they can't transfer it to their main, what's the point of making the alts? From the previous great hunt the winners of the 1-60 tier just disappeared after it ended. No point in actually making the alt and winning if the credits will just be sitting there on a newb alt when they most likely have an omni-trans/almost omni-trans character. Unless people are such asses that they'd really go to such lengths to deny true newbies/lowbies credits. I've seen some intentionally die just to stay in the rankings.
I wish I could not worry about it, but whenever a great hunt happens this happens and it annoys me with the lengths people will go to be complete asses. Certain people like disobeying the rules. Unless the admin are keeping track of all credits given out from a great hunt on top of their regular work, there just might be some that slip through.

That makes no sense though. If people are competing on these alts to compete in a lower tier, it means their other characters wouldn't have been able to compete and place in those same tiers, and would not have been able to win these credits. Why, then, is it not seconds abuse to make alts for this specific reason just to transfer to their other characters? Things like bardics and artisanals make sense, as they are things that the player can write and submit through any of their characters, but for great hunts and ascensions, it is pretty specific which characters can participate and which cannot.
