...wow. That is a huge difference. o_O
Daereth2011-05-07 09:13:21
Nobody appreciates the dbz power reference. They go straight to complaining. What is the world coming to?
Tetra2011-05-07 09:15:26
How strong are the Fleshpots/Spheres in relation to the Supernals/Demon Lords?
Eventru2011-05-07 09:17:34
To the power gain for converting, I can't speak to the communes. I can say that converting a full set of DLs is 9000 power, which split across 12 is 750 power each.
The new cities are actually shorted the +500 for turning in the spheres, but I'm sure they'll live. (They get more power for feeding their cosmic mobs, by virtue of there being more cosmic mobs, etc stand as balancing points imo)

Huh? We only got 100/avatar.

Is that new? We were told ages ago that everyone but Mag got 100 -- and they got 1000 plus some other bonuses as a result of an event way back when.
edit- everyone pre halli/gaudi
Kiradawea2011-05-07 10:44:10
Converting Demon Lords has always given Celest 9000 power. 5k from Luciphage and 1k from the other demon-lords. The 100 power is from converting Moon and Night Avatars to Gorgulu, which used to be far higher but which was highly nerfed at some point around the Hai'Gloh event, if I remember correctly.
Nydekion2011-05-07 10:54:14
Feeding avatars to Gorgulu also increased his strength fairly significantly as a result of an event back in the day. Also, doesn't doing the quest once the Flame/Drums fall net 5k power per round?
Kiradawea2011-05-07 10:56:18
Yeah, there's the strength boost too. Magnagora is the only org capable of converting supermobs not from their direct opposition.
Esano2011-05-07 10:59:21
I've been told that the Avatars making Gorgulu stronger was for the event only, and they now only increase the power gain from converting fae.

It does - but it's incredibly hard to pull off, which is why it's been done almost never (once? each - ever), even when either Glom or Seren was in their respective hay-days. It's dependent on having the opposing shield being down and staying down, plus some other complicated and interruptible voodoo, over the span of a couple consecutive moon cycles. When I started, the 5k gain/loss was a real 'wow', but power totals in general have scaled up since then. This amount now seems quite lousy considering the effort, especially when compared to cities' potential totals.

I am terribly amused by the fact that Magnagora raided Gaudiguch when we had 5 people around.
Gaudiguch and Hallifax haven't really been attacking each other as far as I can tell. I've been seeing Mag raid Gaudi, and I suspect it's Celest raiding Halli. Proxy Wars!

A time-honoured real-life tradition.

Hallifax raided Fire/Vortex at least twice only yesterday.

We're courteous enough to do it with defenders though.

The one I saw today had defenders, at least.
Who knows how consistent that is, however!

I once heard that (insert org here) raided (insert any other org here) while there were less than (arbitrary number) members online.
Griefers.
