My character has no idea what Daedalion gets up to, so I can't do anything about it. If I had in-character knowledge that he was chopping trees in Prime Glomdoring, or killing denizens in Gaudiguch (saw it on an alt), then Tulemrah would definitely try to put an end to that.
tl;dr: If you're attacking us because of something a low ranked citizen is doing, you need to let us know.

Firstly, I would like to say.. LOLWUT? You definantly didn't just say you would punish me for raiding an enemy org? I know I didn't hear that. Second, I don't understand why Glomdoring is crying, or why you even care, since every chance they get, they kill our guards in off prime times. I got maybe two trees, -with- vadi and svorai after me, I didn't kick anyone's baby in the face.

Daedalion did the same thing when he was in Glom and then when whoever Daed pissed off attacked Glom in retribution, they got upset about it. This was back when they weren't the top org with a lot of military power. Just let them enjoy the shoe being on the other foot.
I haven't done anything similar to that in a long time. Nor am I as bad as I used to me. But if I do -one- thing, just -one-, I get 'lollookhe'sdoingitagain' expression. I don't deserve player hate for cutting down a few trees. And nobody else would get as bad a reaction. More to the point, they are only making a big deal because it's me doing it.

Who won?
We got the guy sitting there twice, then we killed Ircria who popped up, then got the next group of Enyalida, Tulemrah, and someone else, then Vladimere and Veracruz showed up. While we were fighting them, the big group came so I rescued Narynth and we bailed. So we'll call it a draw.

Players always hate. We're all a bunch of playerhaters. And I'm not hating, I'm just saying other orgs would come and complain on the forums about you

It's not just you. We raided Serenwilde a lot, too, when Barrin or some other chopped down trees. You seem to underestimate the importance of trees to forest communes. Sorry, you do not get the top spot of Glom's Most Hated.

Elders, actually. Trees are at least easy enough to replant, but elders inspire particular annoyance considering the length of time it takes to grow even one back and the disparity found when the cities are the ones doing it.
After all, what'll I do - hack at your statues? Fear my chisel and the 15 minutes you need to do to replace it. -brandish-

Chopping down trees is no big deal. It's just a pain in the ass to repair, which as a grinding game, Lusternia has a lot of, and which won't be changing. God knows I wish we can go the way of Aetolia in making some out-of-the-way-tedious stuff bye-bye, but realistically, it's not going to happen with the Lusternian admin, and I think most people have accepted that.
Off-peak raids when the raiding team is at their on-peak time is just a way of life. You can't expect the other team to patiently twiddle their thumbs until the advantage swings the other way before trying for an avatar raid or whatever. One-man off-peak raids are pointless, though, I have no idea what kick the raider gets out of it when he doesn't even have a goal to work toward or teammates to joke with, but well, I guess some people get their PK thrills like that, so I've accepted it too, mostly. One-man off-peak raids to cut down trees is.. well, I dunno, good for pissing off the other team, I guess.

When your actions result in retribution that we are unable to handle, then yes, I will punish you for it. There are certain things that, in my mind, should just be off limits in the name of common decency. Our nexus world is one of them. If they came there because of something you did, then you better believe I'm going to be upset about it. I had always thought Glomdoring was attacking us because they lacked the common decency, but I have seen behavior from you that leads me to believe we deserve it, for letting you just do what you want. "They did it first," is never an excuse for doing something petty. I consider off-prime raids with absolutely no defense present to be extremely rude. In fact, I consider most forms of PvP conflict to be rude, but a certain amount of rudeness is expected among enemies. I do, however, always keep in mind that this is a game, and I want the other side to enjoy it too. If I would hate having them do something to me, I'm sure as hell not going to do it to them.
The bottom line is, Hallifax is not in a position where we can provoke the established organizations. If you can be around at all times to defend against them, then by all means, keep poking them with a stick. But since you (hopefully) live in the real world where that's not possible, remember that other people have to deal with what you stir up, and keep the capabilities of those people in mind.

Hallifax doesn't really need to be in a position to bend over for other orgs every time they say "boo" or cry about the injustices of the world either. Also, it sounds like Vadi was there when Daedalion went on his tree-chopping expedition, so this is hardly the crime of the century or harrassing poor Glomdoring while they only had newbies logged in. Being scared of conflict isn't really going to help Hallifax grow into a better org and we are hardly being ground into the dust right now to worry about avoiding raids or conflict completely.

Whoa whoa whoa, take it easy there, feel free to be irrational and cave to every demand. "It could be worse" is a dangerous line of thought though.
Tbh, offpeak raids just make me even more smug, so it doesn't really bother me personally. Poor elders though

I'd hardly consider chopping a(n) Elder/Elders on the same level as typical off peak raiding if there were defenders around. If Daedalion and 12 other Hallifaxians showed up to chop elders vs. Vadi and Svorai yes, but it sounds like he was evenly matched or outmatched. It'd be different if no one in Glom was logged in at the time or if it was just some novices but... if you want to be smug about it, don't let me stand in your way.

I would like to point out, that I don't honestly care about your OOC mindset toward raiding or conflict. Conflict is apart of the game, we go through conflict without me doing anything, get used to it. You also have no right to punish me IC for attacking an enemy org. That is -horribly- bad RP, considering the things we've had to go through. No matter the situation.
However, I do understand our own situation. But 'raiding' our nexus world? Is hardly a stick up the butt. What could they possibly accomplish in our nexus world? Now if they start griefing our spheres again because I kicked a tree. By all means, you have every right to get all huffy at me.

We get crap wether or not we provoke anyway. You want to bend over and take it. I'm not down with that, sorry. However, as stated above I will take my actions into consideration depending on our current city population.

Right, enough e-drama. Let's all just sit back, have a drink, and then go back to cutting each other's throats in game. This 'it's all your fault' discussion isn't helping anyone.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean that to come off as an attack against Daedalion. Just venting some long building frustration that comes from several different sources.
