Back to Common Grounds.

Qistrel2011-06-22 05:59:17
I haven't laughed this much for a long time!
Diamondais2011-06-23 03:59:47
Okay, rare bits are getting a bit too common. Bloody beetle heads.
Turnus2011-06-23 04:25:00
Kind of wish we could rub the "rares" into "commons" of the same set.

Also, I finally get rid of all my curio bits and done with trading, so somebody sends me a "rare" just to annoy me, Grrrr!

A bit? It's like trying to put together sets with 9 rares and 1 common now. Things are just entirely out of whack right now with relative rarity. People are getting desperate for certain commons.
Unknown2011-06-23 16:47:21
People need to stop rubbing away all their commons.
Unknown2011-06-23 17:07:14
What they should do is to only allow the rubbing of partials, the more "complete" partial you rub, the better chances for a coin.

That way, singles aren't gotten rid of immediately but it still keeps the neat mechanic.

Daraius lies. Anyone who knows me should know I would never request that particular comic.

I sorta want a beetle, but I can't find anyone who has one, so I can check first if it's too Glomdoringy. Gah.

You reach out and touch a ceramic death watch beetle.
A ceramic death watch beetle utters a baleful series of clicks, scurrying forward.

The colours on a ceramic death watch beetle's shell shift to a dark azure hue as she flares her wings with a snap, adopting a stern stance.

With a gossamer buzz, a ceramic death watch beetle begins to flap her wings rapidly, slowly rising off the ground with a doleful clicking.

A ceramic death watch beetle suddenly overbalances, landing on her back, legs flailing wildly in the air for several moments as she rocks back and forth before, at length, righting herself with an irritated click.

You reach out and touch a ceramic death watch beetle.
A ceramic death watch beetle doesn't respond, probably because she has already been activated.

Scuttling about in a small circle, a ceramic death watch beetle offers a rattling series of clicks reminiscent of a coughing fit.

With a sudden, faint crack, a ceramic death watch beetle lurches, disgorging a small stream of shadow that clings to the ground wetly, swirling about.

With a soft moan, the shadows evaporate in an oily mist, while a ceramic death watch beetle clicks with satisfaction.

You reach out and touch a ceramic death watch beetle.
A ceramic death watch beetle utters a baleful series of clicks, scurrying forward.

A ceramic death watch beetle scurries forward, the colours upon her shell shifting to a vibrant jade hue.

Numerous clicks emanate from beneath a ceramic death watch beetle's shell. Legs twitching to and fro, she begins to turn and scuttle about in small circles, moving about in time to her own clicking rhythm.

A ceramic death watch beetle's shell reverts to shifting incomprehensibility as she hunkers down to the ground for a moment, in a surly approximation of an insectoid bow.

You reach out and touch a ceramic death watch beetle.
A ceramic death watch beetle utters a baleful series of clicks, scurrying forward.

A ceramic death watch beetle rattles threateningly, spitting out a glob of shadow that remains hovering in the air before her.

Tilting her head curiously, a ceramic death watch beetle inches forward, examining the floating bit of darkness curiously.

As a ceramic death watch beetle draws within range, the shadow bursts with a pop, sending her tumbling back, the colours on her shell muted as she utters dire, angry clicks, attempting to right herself.

You reach out and touch a ceramic death watch beetle.
A ceramic death watch beetle utters a baleful series of clicks, scurrying forward.

A ceramic death watch beetle spreads her wings, beginning a series of staccato clicks as she slowly advances across the floor.

A lone blowfly buzzes in, harrying a ceramic death watch beetle as it searches for a place to alight. After a moment of attempting to shake the fly off, a ceramic death watch beetle settles, glancing about.

With a petulant click, a ceramic death watch beetle disgorges a violet spark of light that transfixes the blowfly, incinerating it as its burnt husk falls to the ground.

I just hate Dinosaur Comics and would prefer my name and/or likeness nowhere near it.

I don't get the sense that this Czigany Coast civilization really had any interest in art like the lore implies. Seems more like they were just in the business of mass-producing expensive, fragile toys.

Toys = art.

So you didn't type in "dadsrule"?

Haaay, I forgot about that. Are there any other holiday-related commands? Like "merrysolstice" or whatever?

Thanks. Too much of shadow though. I shall save my money for a pet. Eventually.

Just submitted my custom beast. smile.gif

Name: Anakim

Short: Anakim, the crystal automaton

Long: Anakim, the crystal automaton hovers here, suffused in harmonic energies.

Extended: Combining science with the arcane arts, this relic of war heralds the technology of a forgotten age. Huge, finely etched tiers of crystal ramparts comprise the segments of this automaton, reinforced with gold-plated diamond and turquoise. Fretworks of the same material entwine the geometric contours that define his blocky figure. Taking on the shape of a star-formed, Anakim's many-jointed limbs have been engineered for dynamic movement, affording optimal mobility. His towering frame ascends peerlessly towards the firmament, beryl eyes and carved glass features devoid of any emotion. Cannon-barreled chambers inlaid with jade and onyx extend from his massive palms, palpable dregs of energy seething from their gilt grasp. There appears to be no external interface or controls, moving of his own volition, and with shockingly swift reflexes for one his size. Filigreed wings of aureate plumage crest his hulking frame, a steady stream of harmonic force coursing through the latticed airfoil. Emblazoned across his chest cavity, a fractal mandala resonates with the rhythmic pulses of diamond, ruby, and sapphire - thrumming like a quiet heartbeat.

Anakim points his palms at your face and begins to shoot you with gold-plated diamonds. Dazzled by their beauty, you cannot help but try to pull the embedded diamonds from your face to sell later.

^There's your custom attack message.

P.S. Really though, it looks(sounds?) amazing.

Thanks! If I ever gave him a custom attack, it would probably be a lightning ray/beam.
The whole premise is he's a mobile golem controlled through Harmonics.
