There is the risk that he would just bail and you wouldn't get the power back at all, I guess.
That's what I would do.

Well, yes, but. He told us to do it. I feel like that is being overlooked! If your VA told you to descend him, would you just be like "lolno" and keep him up there?
As Talan said; Sidd requested to be descended, we responded with lolno. Then he came back and went on VAing.

I must respectfully disagree with this course of action, then! I just think it's silly to not do something someone asks you to do, especially if it means getting a nice big serving of power back if you do it.
Vadi2011-07-09 13:39:58
The upside is that we have a nice active VA now and haven't wasted power

Why? He's back, he's active, he's enjoying it and we've wasted no power (dropping him to raise someone else would be a big chunk lost, not gained!)
People sometimes have down days / weeks, there's no point in descending someone unless they're truly gone.
Or if you have a replacement all ready to go, I suppose...

I so do not care enough to get into a fifty zillion page argument about this.

He has sapped your will to fight - he has already won.

Or Ixion, for the same reasons.

I like Domoths 90% of the time. I remember a fun one in January, first one of the year. Was for Chaos, was just me and a few Celestians against Esano, Sahmiam, Glevich, Ilduadid, and some others. We killed them, they killed everyone but me, back and forth, but in the end they got it. Was fun none the less.
Malicia2011-07-09 17:11:13
Contested domoths can be exciting. As an aside, I want longer village revolts! Everyone usually takes part in that.
Vadi2011-07-09 17:32:56
I'm actually not quite getting it why would orgs raise VAs and then be content with them not aiming for Domoths. It kind of sucks for everyone.

Xenthos has never lost an argument.
He has also never won an argument.
He's still carrying on the first argument he ever had, and it has never changed. There is only the illusion of separation in to seperate arguments based on transient circumstances of the moment. Its like the tide going out to reveal small rocky islands that are always there, but not always visible. Or if you prefer a less complimentary image, a drainage ditch drying up in a drought to reveal all the dessicated crap lying at the bottom.

Domoths favor the prepared, and some people have a lot more free time to do the preparation. Seriously, some people should probably log off more and go say 'hi' to friends and family.

I know right, god damn nerds, why don't you step out of the basement every once in a while too? Virgins.
