It is not Glom+Celest+Hallifax.
Incabulos is not Hallifax.

There is Desitrus and Yurika now, not just Incabulos.

Coming up with an awesome concept and aesthetic to go along with it, along with a purely badass title that, though a mark of some shame, would actually be kind of fun to wear? Good. Writing a long, detailed, and well-written post about it, then accidentally deleting it because of my own idiocy combined with the fact that the mudlet composer window's save button looks exactly the same as the cancel button in peripheral vision? Not so good.
People think it stands for Destruction Interface - Version 286. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. Kudos for coming up with something so quick though - you and Sylandra are making this interesting for me.

What does one do when they are having more fun playing a character that ... isn't the one they're supposed (IE, expected) to be playing?

Play what you find fun.

Play the character that is more fun? Seeing as, well, this is a game, and the aim of playing games is too, well, have fun?

See this is why I don't alt. Ever.
Rika2010-11-18 06:41:12
Alts are great for playing more than your main for a while so that when you return to your main it's even better.

Keep playing. Eventually you will go back, more than likely, once you've had your fun or hit a drama wall.
This is way easier if you stick to the golden rule of never revealing your alts, though. Reveals always complicate things a little.

Responsibilities tend to throw a bit of a kink in the whole 'feel good while having fun' thing, though.
It still takes a bit of willpower to just not log off immediately and jump on Alianna when I see Serenwilde losing in a raid defense.

Well let's just say we both try to keep it glom vs. seren, but it almost always inevitably fails. Then we can both get on our undeserving high horses and smug each other out.
No one really is bothered by the tells, but even if you have a good reason for doing so, it's usually better to just keep quiet to keep things simple.

This has the ring of truth to me. Ages ago I thought Forren was a jerk, but that was really because my main IC interaction with him was raids/defenses. Turns out he was a nice guy!
This is not always the case as I found out. I made this assumption. About some people, I was wrong. They're always jerks.

That's what this is, isn't it? All my repressed troll impulses from my dark internet past are coming out through Fata Morgana. The sweet temptation to be a complete and utter tool at all times beckons, and so I fall victim to its siren song.
Trolling is a art. And a artist I am.

I'm far too nice to be a full-time troll. I just can't pull it off, I get all apologetic and jokey. If troll school existed, and I was enrolled as a student, I would be on academic probation. All the other trolls would laugh at me, and it would be terrible.
However, I don't have to be Fata all the time...so when those little perfect moments pop up...how can I resist? HOW CAN I.
Her "huge troll" thing is actually just the fact that she tries to exploit weaknesses in others to make their flaws apparent to them, buuuut it tends to not work out quite that way. It tends to just work out like she's being, well, a huge troll.
Gleip2010-11-18 12:51:47
So she arrogantly assumes that she can point out the flaws of others and then "magically" cure them of their flaws by assuming a completely inedible attitude that just makes you want to strangle her?
Troll!!!
But hey, I can eat even inedible trolls, so don't worry about that.
