That sounds like a better solution to solving the "exclusiveness" that 100 or so players were part of than what we currently have where a realistic maximum of 12 players have it.

I mean, surely it's not his damn good tanking ability coupled with bashing during offpeak hours as well as astralbashing. Certainly not that. It must be because he's an ascendant.

I'm a bit confused why people talk so much about Jojobo. I suppose I see why it would make sense to give Ackleberry an opposite (go-go conflict), but we seem to have a lot sparser information about the place than the seven orgs in the Basin (or maybe I just don't know a lot about it). Also, it not being in the Basin would seem to create a problem in and of itself in implementing it.

No, I'm saying that none of those things alone is the contributing factor. It's when you have all of those things plus an auto-basher that is as advanced as his so he doesn't even suffer from bashing burnout as fast that means he can stack on those points.

Fillin must feel pretty good that people bitch about him as some unstoppable force as much as they do. I mean, Glom gets bitched about, but as a WHOLE aka the zerg. Fillin gets it as an individual. Honestly, the only thing he has access to that no one else does is the rune. Anyone else can be faeling with the bonuses (Or if you're Glom in spec, even larger bonuses.), anyone can write an autobasher, anyone can buy a level 3 crit rune, and technically anyone can become an ascendant - you just have to convince your org that you're worth it more than everyone else.

+2% crit! Or whatever it was. Totally unbalanced.

And I think Furien had it pretty right. Artifact Runes + Destruction + Race + Ascendant just all come together in this super bashing entity knows as Fillin

We are an equal playerbase, but some players are more equal than others.

Fillin is 'op'. It happens everywhere - someone is better than someone else. Eventually, there's someone who is simply 'better'. It is an unfortunate fact in a world where systems aren't banned, there's stats and levels, and you can do more than kick each other. The upside is that you, too, could be 'op' - and that is the definition of equality! Or something.

And the game still has to grow into supporting two new cities - without a large jump in playerbase (very large) there's no realistic expectation of Ackleberry coming back.
