On the other end of the spectrum, LOVING Gaudi's ongoing constant contests. Also MORE than willing to brainstorm on Templar RP identity
There will be MORE.

Why?
Any remotely interesting activities get shut down for the duration of the hunt. All for the lovely experience of people doing an activity that most of them hate because for these few days it really counts and they don't want to waste the chance of double XP/credits.

I kinda wish the admin put in whatever it is they had planned when they approved the Overkill envoy report before this greathunt competition. I'm curious to know if it would've changed how things stand right now.

I always liked bashing. :/

Which is why I said most.
I know Melville and many other people like it too (he always tried to get me to do it and he failed horribly). This is just the time where nothing else happens because people who normally hate bashing don't want to waste the double XP, so nothing else really happens.

I bet the outcome wouldn't have changed much, but I'd have gotten more sleep, hopefully. D:

Would probably benefit destruction bashing too, remember!
My annoyance with these hunts?
-It knocks the crap out of Astral during and for a long while after.
-It can lead to supply shortages of stuff you want for just normal day to day activities.

I don't know anything about their plans. Just being hopeful that it will result in my being more efficient at bashing. ):

We could go by archetype too
This would be the most interesting option, I think. Split it into archetype and then Demigod and not-Demigod if you want and see who comes out on top.

Except for times when you spend 10-30 minutes bashing with the AFK person for free xp and they don't notice you. But that's not really proof, heh. At least not administrative-enforceable proof.
That makes me picture you as a parasite or a monkey or something, perched on Fillin's shoulder.

Squeee! A little bit from earlier today:
It's sooo pretty! I love it!
Also, it goes well with Orvi's love for all things jingly, and bell like.
QUOTE
Hoaracle gives an opalescent crystal bell to you.
Moulded out of rainbow crystal, this ornate bell positively sings of opalescent
light. Dreamy figments and indistinct figures shift between the bell's numerous
facets. Golden filigree impresses against its sides, forming the holy symbol of
the Forest Dreamer, while chasings of silver inscribe prayers and hymns speaking
of the interconnected universe. At the heart of this marvelous item, a thin
clapper of milky white coral hangs strangely still; however, a faint echo rings
about the bell's mouth, whispering a chime reminiscent of the hum of creation. A
chain of enchanted leaves twines around a coiled handle that allows this divine
trinket to be worn around the neck.
You slip into an opalescent crystal bell.
A stirring sensation suffuses the air -- an effervescent, bubbly feeling not unlike champagne.
You giggle happily.

We could go by archetype too
That could actually be rather interesting, as it could help evaluate the various archetype bashings and see how big the differences are, and also if there are any large differences within the archetypes (Between Celestines and Researchers for example). Of course, you'd then have to split it up between bashing and influencing too, or maybe make influencing not count for that greathunt. And you'll still need a difference between those who have tons of crit, and those who don't... so you'd end up with a TON of different credit prizes, but hey, perhaps that'd lower the credit market.

Why are people using so many palettes these days? I've sold enough in the last RL month to make a thousand paintings, and a dizzying number of Tarot cards. Is there some massively palette-consuming use I don't know about?
Shulamit2010-11-27 20:39:06
Personally, I've been painting a lot. Also, a couple of new food designs use them, so maybe someone was stocking a lot of cup cakes or something? Food would use a lot, if someone was making a lot, is all I can think of.
Lendren2010-11-27 20:46:41
I've always wondered why anyone would use them in designs. They'll inevitably cost more than tints but do nothing more than tints would. But I suppose it's probably that; paintings just wouldn't consume them by the hundreds like this.
