Eh, the way I see it, everybody has skills they will never use. Let that be one of them.

Eh, the way I see it, this is a trans skill we never use. Maybe trans skills should be remotely useful in ANY situation.

Fixed.

Hyperactive in a skill set that bards HAVE to take. sad.gif
Lendren2011-04-12 18:21:29
Now, now, there was a week once when Hyperactive had a use for bards, due to a bug. Ah, memories...

Well, i can say I have never used my Aeromancy trans skill... not saying it doesn't have a use, but I have never personally seen it used.

I've used it to test how much damage it does in the arena, but that's about it. But then, I avoid being the one who holds the demesne in most cases anyway.

Best trans skill of all time: CharismaticAura! biggrin.gif

Which the admin have refused to fix twice now. I'm sure they had monks in mind when they designed the skill, but it was perversely amusing that when it debuted, the trans skill was almost utterly worthless for the only people who could have it.
Rivius2011-04-13 02:42:42
Meh, haymaker is nearly worthless, but we don't really need it. Although, I wouldn't mind something like similar to pulp instead (going by ABs, I've never used pulp to know if it's even any good).
Razenth2011-04-13 02:45:14
I can think of a lot of uses for 10 hay actually. You guys should support that solution.

(Institute): You say, "Hmm, do you know what we haven't done in a while,
Primus?"

(Institute): Arel says, "The Taroch Symposium?"

(Institute): You say, "I was going to say humiliate you in a game of Fate, but
that too."

(Institute): Arel says, "Well, I suppose if you are going to go there, we shall
have to throw down."

(Institute): You say, "Oh yes, I am going. In fact, I am there already."

(Institute): Arel says, "Come to the Fellow's Lounge and I will beat you and
then we can go see the show."

(Institute): Orventa says, "Sounds quite violent."

*cue more smack talking and Arel rigging the deck, beating my Governor of Hallifax with the worthless Air Lords. Then we went to go watch a play*

Also:

(House Shevat): Daraius says, "Was this the paperwork you were fretting over, Governor?"

Looking for ideas on how to fix hyperactive!

QUOTE
Crusader Akui, Knight of the Dawn says, "I have developed a sneaky strategy."

Crusader Akui, Knight of the Dawn says, "The taintlings will never see it coming."

Crusader Akui, Knight of the Dawn says, "Behold!"

Akui drops a painting of A fierce, life sized Urguard warrior with eye holes cut out.

A painting of A fierce, life sized Urguard warrior with eye holes cut out says, "Roar! I'm a terrifying Ur'guard! I'm evil and such. I like dirt and... and... blast, what the Nil do the maggots like... WORMS."

Akui picks up a painting of A fierce, life sized Urguard warrior with eye holes cut out.

You blink.

You give a trillingly melodic laugh.

You ask, "So where would we...exhibit this?"

You say, "Oh I see!"

You laughingly say, "A mask of sorts."

Crusader Akui, Knight of the Dawn says, "I assume I would just walk around with it."

A dingy red background hosts the fearsome visage of a mighty warrior. Black mud covers the iron-shod boots and legs of this knight of Magnagora, as if fresh from a battle amid the horrors of the tainted plane of Earth. Formed iron plates encase the robust musculature of the specimen's body, while the torso is emblazoned with an ouroboros of intricate detail. Thick, well toned arms end in brutally cruel claws, one hefting a war axe in a threatening manner, the other raised, as if to hail a comrade in arms. The terrifying features of the head, snarling fangs and massive horns, have been rather disrupted by the fact of two eyeholes being "subtly" removed, to allow proper viewing if someone were to be behind the painting for? whatever reason.

You say, "It could verily work!"

You say, "Magnagorans aren't too bright, you know. The taint twists the mind."

You nod your head sagely.

Akui beams broadly.

Akui taps her fingers together and murmurs, "Excellent..."

biggrin.gif That was great, Akui.

How about that ten-hay solution? All the others that have been proposed over the years have been brutally shot down, but that one might work.

I could get behind this, but I'm not sure 10p justifies the creation of 10 bales. I mean, hay's pretty rare. Now, if it was something like rope, sure.

I don't think you'd really want to if it consumed (even a tiny bit of) equilibrium, as it would make sense for it to do, if you're doing it through magic. Maybe it'd be a nice bit of flavor but in a fight you wouldn't do it that way anyway, so you'd still have to lug around that tinderbox.

Edit: Though I suppose a spell you cast in advance that kept your pipes lit for a long period of time might make sense. Like a tiny demesne in your pipe. That could work.

Though on a related subject, it's funny how my 40cr pipe can light itself but my 705cr censer can't. smile.gif
