Ahh. I must have missed that.
It is just common courtesy to you know, tell people the reason rather than simply deleting well in excess of ten posts.

Ixion2010-11-17 14:22:18
That's not me. I wouldn't want that one really anyway, as being honoured for aetherhunting more than others during a week's time period is... not an achievement at all.

Really? I know honours are sort of in that IC/OOC divide but keeping these sorts of events from being too IC or at least giving them something like a full fledged event and story is what has kept people happy about them.

It wasn't me, and yes it is. Unfortunately, we're just as subject to the IM spam restrictions as everyone else so it can be time-consuming to explain moderation.
But I can see them in our removed posts rubbish bin and it is clear to me why the posts were moderated.
(1) Your post and the responses were not quotes
(2) You complained about the treatment of your character and such complaints
- (a) should be discussed ICly; and
- (b) are liable to lead to argument and flaming
(3) The chain of responses derailed the thread
(4) The chain of responses threatened to become argumentative and flamey.
That said, you mea culpa-ed elegantly on most of the contentious aspects of the discussion, so (4) might never have taken off.
Edit: In any event, once upon a time we used to delete all non-quotes and replies to quotes! The thread was certainly a lot more enjoyable for retrospective musing then, but it was a nightmare to keep on top of the moderation.

This is why you assign more moderators; I hear Sojiro wishes to keep Shiri company in that lonely world of mortal-moderator-dom.

From Dristig's p.o.v:
You get down on one knee and, while holding forth a hunting trophy bearing Malarious's head, you declare your eternal love for Callise, and ask her to marry you.
Callise, with a look of utter joy on her face, accepts your proposal of marriage.
You're welcome.

Typical Day of a Fainite.
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "Enoch, I have a task for you."
(Supplicants): Enoch says, "Alright, what do I have to do?"
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "I wish for you to go to the obelisk near the North Gate and lick it, then return to Atropos Plaza and inform me as to what it tastes like."
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "Enoch, are you done licking that obelisk?"
(Supplicants): Enoch says, "The obelisk tasted like rock. Didn't have a chemical taste like I expected. It must get cleaned regularly."
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "Good. Now, do you know why I asked you to lick the obelisk?"
(Supplicants): Enoch says, "To be honest, no."
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "There are times we are assigned menial, trivial, or idiotic tasks. We are not often told why, but merely expected to perform them. You did so without question. Well done."
(Supplicants): Enoch says, "Thank you. Although I do not think the Tongue is too happy with either of us."
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "She'll live."
(Supplicants): Enoch says, "But will I?"
(Supplicants): Shaddus says, "That is entirely up to you."
Arguments about Shaddus giving him such a task edited out, the part where it's my idea too.

Wow, you'd think with all the potential of Pyromancers and Illuminati you'd get some creative types there.
Something tells me people take the party city too literally.

Despite numerous attempts, bribes, and coercion nobody wanted to write a thing in Gaudiguch. What you see there, was either things published due to contests or a very lucky moment when we had someone wanting to write something.
And yes, the party city aspect being taken to seriously was one of the major, and still partial reasons, for nothing advancing beyond borderline apathy.

I think it's also partly due to inactive Librarians. With our current one, hopefully that'll change.

Actually no. We had fully active librarians all along until Sksez very recently. We just couldn't get anyone to write anything.
