Actually, in this case it doesn't; all it proves is that if you send an email to Estarra, she's willing to read it and try to work with you. She gave me an offer a few months ago (the first time I asked, in fact), just didn't get a chance to follow through until now.

Gave it a try, but honestly? I've been using this name since 1996. It's pretty hard to come up with a name I like more. :P

In the end, it's my character's name and I'm the one who has to deal with it every day; for some people having a new name may be a great opportunity, but for me it just didn't work out. That would have been the case no matter what the 'new name' was.
