Enyalida:
IC, it's especially weird to have a verbal accent over a telepathic communication lane.

It's well established that it's not telepathic, it's still audible, just over distance. You can't hear it when you're deaf, and the histories make reference to sounds being carried over aetherwaves, for example. It's more like radio than telepathy. (And does drunkenness affect aethers? If not, I'd call that a 'it wasn't worth it to fix it' bug more than canon anyway.) I don't know why people are always forgetting this.

Drunkenness definitely affects aethers, both CT&co and tells.

It's a form of audio quantum entanglement, I guess.

I personally consider it to be a form of radio, mediated by the nexus.

It's the most impressive tin-can and string network ever.

The Hallifax Chamber of Justice.
An aura of harsh austerity hangs in the air of this chamber, accentuated by the smoothly planed grey stone of the walls and floor. The walls meet at precise right angles, having been shaped and formed to a proper shape. The chamber is bare of any decoration save for glittering veins of crystal that spider across the walls, throwing off refracted light in undulating waves. Beside the entrance to the cave is a faceless marble statue wearing a magistrate's robe. Rising up from the floor, a pillar of Hallifax's written law is here.
You see a single exit leading southwest.

You read what is written on a pillar of written law:
blahblahblah

Does Hallifax actually have written laws, or do all their players kind of make it up off the tops of their heads as "infinite red tape"?

Actually, did somebody release that room too soon--Gaudiguch doesn't have one yet.

The gaudi builder got drunk and forgot to build it.

Gaudiguch only has the One Law.
Unknown2012-09-02 18:00:00

Gaudiguch only has the One Law.

Gaudiguch doesn't have laws, it has an entirely non-binding chain of legal precedent. :P

...once I figure out how to fix that, I will...

I bet your patron knows the answer.

Zvoltz:

As far as I know, you're supposed to write them on a letter and put them in the pillar.

Except, y'know, that Hallifax's pillar appears to be broken and doesn't let you put anything in it.

The poor thing is stuck with a case of the blahs. :(
Ytran2012-09-03 03:13:13
I think it's appropriate, really. Hallifax doesn't need to care about the rest of the world.

Glomdoring already did that (we intentionally left our pillar actually-blank).
Ytran2012-09-03 03:23:26
I think you mean Glomdoring copied Hallifax in doing it, because Hallifax can punch causality in the face.

We're not going to copy the blahs!

Xenthos:

We're not going to copy the blahs!

Well, of course not. Glomdoring lacks the necessary superiority to blah at the rest of the world.
Xenthos2012-09-03 04:31:11
We're more of a "whatever" society. We'll let them go their own way, we don't need to blather on at them.
