Well, for what it's worth, it looks like almost everything about this was Elo-bear's doing. Synl made some blueprints and I jumped through the bureaucratic hoops, but the final product looks like Elostian did his own thing. Which is fine, because Hallifax is his baby, but man, why make me do the paperwork in the first place?

I think the stuff we submitted got killed Up Top, but am not sure.

Well, I sent the design back several times but it still really wasn't anything Hallifaxian. I tried! You are all just not with my OCD concept lore of the city.

Also, I assure you there are no intentional swastikas in there, as can be demonstrated from my design sketch!

I want a Gaudiguch library mob whose job is to put out fires, salvage burnt literature and when there is a pause between parties, to fireproof the remaining books.

The only problem I have with the arena is...sure, it's all Hallifaxian and fits with the RP, but is it really a good place to fight? An arena's not just another pretty place to look at- it has an important function! I'm just concerned that it's been made too complex to be a viable location for combat training. "Here, set up a demesne like you would normally! What do you mean you'll never encounter this shape outside of the arena?"

I think that was one of the big reasons our designs were never "Hallifaxian" enough. It needed to be practical, not just showy.

Except you do encounter odd shapes. In fact, it's great training for melders.

Well, if you could see where you were going most of the time, that'd be fine. But in most places the rooms are pretty disconnected from one another visually, and that gets a little weird.

I donno! Maybe it's just me, but I still prefer Klangratch a million times over for actually fighting. Will I use Skylark? Yeahprobably I hate having to walk all the way to the other arena.

Pft, clearly "Rika" is already the plural form of "Rikum" anyway, which is a measurement of the levels of awesome in a given person.

I think for this exact reason it's a great training arena.

The planes we - as a city - are intended to fight on and defend are the Air Plane, the Fire Plane, the Continuum Plane and the Vortex Plane. I think the arena does a great job of emulating aspects of those planes.
