This black leather plague mask is strapped on by buckles in the back and
completely covers the face. This design is intended to be worn with a
hood over it. The front of the mask branches out in a long beak-like
section which covers the mouth and nose and has holes at the very end
for air which is then drawn through a series of layers of crushed
charcoal and cloth before reaching the wearer. Above the mask's beak is
a section to cover the rest of the face and the forehead, in which two
large holes have been cut out in front of the eyes and over which have
been fitted two octagonal quartz lenses. The outer section of the mask
fits around the others, and fits tightly to seal the mask.

I always knew the Ama'nar'isil family was sick. I just thought it was something else, not contagious.

Oh yes, I heard about these. The CDC is even using them. The scarves that behave just like chem suits... Except they don't.

Note to self: hide far, far away until that chem suit and mask combo is designed and approved.

Even though Phoebus wears gloves and a gas mask everywhere, I get the feeling she'd still get infected if someone came into contact with her. I demand gas mask protection!
