Heh, you'd probably be the only one eligible for that.

I think there are still quite a few people around from open beta. We just lurk.
Or maybe it's wishful thinking.

Trying to remember them all:
Nepthysia
Ixion
Malicia
Geb
Me.... sort of
Gregori
Thats all I could come up with.... but it spurred an awsesome memory!
Ialie and MS paint, favorite one is of me and her as the rulers of Ackelberry raining down blood on everyone!
And I remember my little Serenwilde clique. It was me, Jasper, Elryn and Ialie....awwww the good ole days
Okin2010-11-22 13:10:27
Um, me? Offended.
Diamondais2010-11-22 13:31:31
I was around for a bit in open beta. I remember it being horribly confusing for me, I wasn't used to playing text based games.
Unknown2010-11-22 15:54:12
I've been playing consistently since day one of the game's opening. I'm not too offended that you don't know me, though...

Been here since day 2! (I had no idea Jayden existed until he got Harb...whatever it was, though.)
Casilu2010-11-22 17:57:50
It may have only been like a year or two now, but I remember when Kharvik came along on a Demon Lord raid (was I Celestian or Seren at the time?) and he tried to bearhug Luciphage to death as a Tae'dae.

Game day 2 or real day 2?
I didn't get in until game day 21 because I wanted to have a solid character idea first. Too bad that character idea didn't work out in the long run!

I've been around since open beta, though Hallen has not.

I remember quitting Serenwilde to join the Disciples of Crow and hanging out in Glomdoring and talking religion with you. It was fun.

I keep coming back, do I count as an open beta guy?

Real day 2. I didn't hear about it on day 1, Anarias told me about it on day 2 and we went and made some Celestian characters.
EDIT: I didn't read the histories for a while though, plus when I did I couldn't find most of the Taint war ones, because they were in that toolbar thing to the side instead of on the left, so it took me ages to figure out why the Taint was bad.

Memory lane time - here's some for the old bastards
-When the pool of stars went into the negative, and the megalith was at about 500 power, we followed visaeris around that day and just killed whatever and whoever we could
-Hunting spectre island for spectres to forge my first set of flails (which later had lightning runes and caused lots of upset)
-Learning combat the hard way, spending much time in arenas with amaru, narsrim, tuek, ixion valek and daevos
-When forging got its first weapon that you didn't have to constantly invest jewels in to reforge
-When weapons lost their 'to-hit' and gained precision instead, giving birth to real warrior conflict (what happened to this?!)
-Not needing to affliction lock as a bonecrusher (no crushed windpipe) but instead being able to stupidlock and manglelock to go for the win
-3 combo kills, if you search the forums you'll find plenty of crying
-Necromancy lich was instant with no EQ loss, you could trigger liching to darkchant ghost and be on your merry way
-Finally being at ease with combat spam, making highlights and eventually it becomes like reading the matrix
That was the really old stuff
Less old
-When spores went through monolith and anyone could use them
-When we triggered a room entering illusion to a death message, and watch serenwildes best fighters snort spores, leaving behind the newbies who got slaughtered
-Being proud of my avenger list being pretty much every enemy in the game, and as soon as someone dropped the status rekilling them because you do not mess with Murphy
-When the avenger system changed, end up being karma cursed 5 times over with no legitimate way to gain karma, sat around the megalith totally afflicted but not dying
-Lines such as "Newbie, are you willing to DIE for magnagora?!!!" "Yes sir" , pulp newbie, "Good boy"
-Not putting up with people's crying in game, and humbly requesting that they increase their level of hardness and cease/desist with tears
-Being offline and asleep, only to have Daevos spam my AIM with WAKE UP WAKE UP RAID TIME to log on and defend whatever needed defending
-Putting in the aforementioned hours with Daevos to raise glomdoring and keep serenwilde from wrecking our efforts, only to have glomdoring become the lusternian equivalent of ungrateful middle class emo kids who just want to rebel against their parents
-Joining glomdoring for a while to kick ass as a faeling, then going back to mag because the glomdoring council were cockblocking (roosterblocking for the censor) everything I tried to do
-Smartass newbies being affliction locked at the megalith for not knowing when to shut up
Combat wise
-When Aesyra became the first demigod (I was lvl 80 at the time), challenging her to a duel at the peak of avechna, in front of a distinguished audience of gods and mortals alike, this forum contains the log still I believe. Nearly got absolved twice, but pulled off a win with some quick weapon switches and fast envenoms, that fight had some serious adrenaline pumping.
-Beating hajamin in a duel, and killing him once more when he came to give me a divine 'hug' at the megalith (by hug I mean take 3/4 of my hp in one move) via bashbrain. I still persist ICly that our megalith has some divine brain matter stained onto it
-Losing to narsrim and amaru via the retardedness of their pets, still hate that assmaiden
-My brief stint as a nihilist because I loved having a retarded pet, and crucify/soulless combos were awesome. Pulling off an individual sacrifice on narsrim was a high point
-Losing to narsrim and amaru without pets because they were damn good fighters
-Beating narsrim and amaru as often as they beat me
-When top tier fighters consisted of -Geb Amaru Daevos Narsrim Tuek Thoros Murphy Alger Thorgal Ixion & Ethelon
-Being no higher than lvl 80 throughout my whole lusternian career, and having an ongoing rivalry with Geb because he was lvl 80 for most of the time too, until he wussed out and bashed to demigod
Group combat
-Raiding celestia, demesning it and getting 10 geomancers all using a trigger system to target the same person named over the guild clan, made for excellent group staffing
-Raiding villages for dwarven miners, a group of 4-5 of us attackers would rush in and hit hard, often escaping but sometimes being made to pray for salvation. We were raided in return by narsrim tuek amaru et al, but nothing has ever been so exciting as the prospect of losing SO MUCH EXPERIENCE for the sake of a few miners. The miners themselves meant bugger all, but it was the principle of the matter.
-Performing epic rescues on the corpses of revan and ixion in said villages, as they died in enemy territory it was worth a couple of days of bashing, so I grabbed alger, made him wait outside the village, put up numbness, went in and grabbed corpses and took a beating from guards, died outside after numbness wore off and alger rezzed everyone
-Being wisped to a locked room and killed during influencing
-The first 'tainting of the fae' war, and watching a room full of mags and serens die in a 10 mage boulderblast ordered by Daevos
-Raiding villages with no real objective than for RP, including having mages graffiti the walls with how celests leader (rhysus) is going down
Being vindictive or just real mad
-Getting really mad with celest and serenwilde, and performing an 18 hour raid of all villages and planes
-When Serenwilde cut off all magnagorians from potions, knowing one sweet little seren girl who would give me huge supplies of potions for our combatants in exchange for a few hours of alone time with Murphy. Love you Titiana!
-Magnagora cut off a second time, got another backdoor supply of potions from another sweet little faeling. Love you Ialie!
-Threatening Nejii/Shiri and other seren leaders that I would be indiscriminately killing newbies/taking them as hostages until my demands were met. Needless to say they were upset
-Hunting down anyone who performed the emotion 'smirk' after seeing me die to 10+ defenders, like they'd just owned me themselves
-Gathering enemy corpses, running to the gates of celest (to which half of celest would rush also thinking I'd raid them) and throwing the corpses over them fence and hitting them
-Kicking down doors, both in celest (sorry guys it was me) and in the ur'guard guild hall (sorry guys, me again) just because I was pissed
-Getting drunk and serenading girls of all races just because
-Kidnapping idle players and locking them in a manse, richter gave me my own room for this in deepnight
-Having an IC/OOC tantrum, gathering all mags leaders in the war room, and demanding the gods fix sporing and threatening industrial action (quit and leave for another city or just plain give up and start terrorizing newbies everywhere)
-Shouting threats/posturing/plain old carrying on like a fool, running out of endurance, then heartstoppping to lich and continue
-Any fool outside a city/commune shouting back was threatened and often killed, leading to funny shouts like "I'm no scared of you Murphy" -10 seconds later, deathsight of fool- "Scared now princess?" followed by laughter on all the OOC clans
-Grief squads - 7 or so good fighters from other cities would get together, jump you, but hold you down while you got inquisitioned and stripped of lichdom, then kill you and force a pray for salvation
That's all I've got for now, I'm sure more will come to which I'll probably forget again
Oh and finally, spending HOURS upon HOURS on testing with Hajamin things we thought were retarded, or bugs/imbalances which were changed. He worked hard and we became mates over time, it's a pity how it ended up.

You're still remembered Murphy. When I came back I had Tully buy one of the two blades you used to carry (Richter's shop) and mailed it to Ixion because I felt those should be memorialized or kept as a special weapon for the ur'Guard.
