====THE DAILY PROPHET================
The Dark Lord is Slain! Rejoice! Celebrate! Spread the news!
In more depressing news, a dude named Jack is dead.
Good Riddance.
Death Eaters alive: 3
It is now Day 3.
With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

QUOTE (role)
You are Vernon Dursley, and you have no idea what is going on, beyond the fact that a bunch of old dudes wearing robes like to break into your house and kidnap your nephew.
Good Riddance to him, anyways.
You have no special powers to speak of.
You win with the Ministry of Magic, or when all the wizards and witches are dead.

Hi guys. I have my next target in sights. But in case people have information or insight, they can go first before I go again.
Feyrll2010-12-21 08:25:22
I would just like to say that I had a mindsplosion when Trinit was lynched. Towards the end his desperation seemed to hint he was something bad, but the BIG CHEESE? Ahhh.
In any case, just to start things off with a bang,
Vote: Caerulo
In my typical wishy-washy tradition, I'll probably end up backing out on that vote somewhere down the line, but his vote was just a little too timely in nearly causing a No Lynch and his excuse 'not having read the posts' is purely by his own claim. Pure bad luck? Perhaps. But I don't think so.

Personally I find his comment rather odd as well.

I didn't notice that my vote at the end caused a no-lynch situation. Obviously lynching You Know Who is a good thing.
And erm, Feyrll, any reason for voting me?
Unknown2010-12-21 09:36:33
I really do agree with Feyrll. Sure, he may have been casting suspicion on Gleip before, but to suddenly throw the vote on so close to the deadline to try and save the V-man (I like that term!) was really jarring. Why hadn't he put the vote on before, when there wasn't a bandwagon already on him?
Not to mention Caerulo shouldn't have been posting at night. I know it's kinda hard to tell when it's in text, but it sounds fake. Just an "oh oops" cover-up.

I'm actually still suspicious of you, even though I'm glad it ended up that he was taken out instead. You seemed to know he was Vol- can we say his name yet? I'm just going to call him Valmar, the Dracula. So you seemed to know he was Valmar. You were dedicated to taking him down, despite the seemingly only reason you had to do so being that you roleblocked him on a night where there was no kill. No matter what you wouldn't budge in your determination to lynch him, even after his convincing (though ultimately fake) roleclaim.
I just cannot shake that gut feeling that in some capacity, you are a Death Eater. It makes sense flavour-wise for your role and it makes sense that you would know who Valmar was because of that. It wouldn't make sense that you were a townie who just happens to know who the big bads are, because that would be hella sicknasty powerful and not make any sense. You knew who to roleblock. And you couldn't have investigated him, because your power you described is a roleblock, right? -peer-

I'm fairly sure that Solanis is not DE now, but obviously not 100%. It's still a fairly reasonable assumption, though. I'm not voting right yet, but this struck me as suspicious about Ssaliss:
He makes a vote to Trinit, Trinit answers with a flat out role claim 11 minutes later, and then less than two hours after that, Ssaliss drops his crusade against Trinit and unvotes. It could be happenstance, but it sort of feels like he made a "pressure" post to allow Trinit to false claim. Ssaliss was also one of the ones who vote lynched Vendetta. Could be bad timing, or me just seeing the posts with knowledge now that Trinit is scum, but it seems setup-y to me.
QUOTE (Ssaliss @ Dec 17 2010, 09:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Well... here's my problems with that statement.
First off, by saying "that will label you as to what group you're in", to me that means you're not Ministry. That means either Order, Death Eaters, or an unknown group.
If you were of the Order, I'd have expected someone else to at least come to your defense or point a finger somewhere else. Also, there aren't a whole lot of Order members, so you having to look them up because you've never heard of them doesn't exactly sound logical.
That means, as far as I'm concerned, that you're either a Death Eater and false-claimed your powers, or you're part of an unknown group, which the Ministry will have to get rid of anyway. Thus:
Vote: Trinit

I voted for Trinit because he was blocked and no one died. He later roleclaimed, and I believed that roleclaim. There could've been other reasons for no one dying; I believe someone else claimed they had roleblocking powers (can't remember the name right off the bat; I think Ileein mentioned them though), and there's bound to be a doctor around as well. That's all that is to it, really.

Wait, I just realized if everyone's telling the truth, then we have at -least- three roleblockers. Ileen, Solanis, Trinit, and that's not even counting the 'doctor'.
Wtf, that's an awfully lot of roleblockers give the number of people playing.

That there does not sit well with me. Trinit, aka lord Moldypants, asked for someone to save him. He was reaching out for help from his underlings, and Caerulo responded to it. That is what it looks like to me. The night post just adds to it. Why would you "Gah" over town striking such a decisive victory.

Ileein2010-12-21 14:14:11
For the record, I'm not even totally sure my power roleblocks. However, that's what it seems to do, and I'm sticking with it.
I was also incredibly suspicious of Caerulo's vote-which-just-happened-to-create-an-impending-nolynch. Reading through the discussion, I winced visibly when I came to it; it just seems too perfect to be an accident. Therefore, and for all of the reasons mentioned above, Vote: Caerulo.

It isn't random, and the reason is pretty much echoed by a few of the posts above me. Sure it seems a little sudden/soon to throw votes around, I could've waited for a few people to post or for someone else to call Caerulo, but my vote would've been the same so I figured I'd just put it out there. It's not an 100% bet, but it's the clearest thing to follow up on in this post-Moldie world.
I also mentioned that my vote could change, and it's why I don't find Ssaliss' withdrawing his Trinit vote that suspicious. I withdrew my votes pretty damn fast the moment my votee claimed, like Trinit...and Solanis... Most efficient way to play? Not really, but ah well.

But you do understand that by placing a vote without suggesting reason, even by saying the reasons were stated already, you risk appearing to be random voting, or voting via bandwagoning?
