I'll... explain it all when the game is over.

You are not Clarissa.

I smashed a finger, so pardon me if these posts aren't as interesting or flavorful as they might have been sad.gif

There's a giant swamp in the corridors, and a surprisingly large number of people aren't wearing their usual robes...

The dark mark hangs high over the castle, above Solanis' body.
QUOTE (role)
You are Severus Snape.

You used to serve the Dark Lord, until he killed the woman you loved. Now, you fight for her memory- and against the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord doesn't know that you fight against him; therefore, you appear to be on his team, and he knows that you are on his team. Only Albus Dumbledore (Person) knows your true allegiance.

Due to your Dark Mark, you appear to be aligned with the Death Eaters.

You can communicate with Voldemort (Person) each night that is odd, and with Dumbledore (Person) each night that is divisible by 2 (even).

You win with the Order of the Phoenix.

The Irish are furious. Their dude, AllergictoSabres is dead. They are 100% certain it was caused by the death eater he was hanging out with.
QUOTE (role)
You are Barry Ryan, the star goalkeeper of the Irish National Quiddich team.

You may SOCIALIZE WITH each day; if that person is killed, or if you are killed, the Irish Wizarding Authorities will investigate your death or the death of your companion. You also have a chance to figure out something about the person you socialize with.

You win with the Ministry of Magic.

Death Eaters alive: 1

With 9 alive it takes 5 to lynch.

We have someone from the swamp who changes clothes? wtf.gif

Okay, decided I'd claim with the truth.

I'm the hook-nosed man himself: Severus Snape, loyal to the Order and Dumbledore.

I'm pro at Potions. I have a small supply of potions with me, and each night I can choose to spike someone's drink. I used a Sleeping Draught last night on Trinit which roleblocked him.

So, about this....
Diamondais2010-12-23 23:15:25
I just noticed it doesn't say who Snape was. biggrin.gif
Casilu2010-12-23 23:16:32
Well, when you know who your enemy is from the beginning of the game, why not turn them in?

Check the first post. Mirami updated it.

I can't say anymore than that.

Well then.

Soo...he was loyal to the Order, but him dying did subtract one from the Death Eater count. So I'm just wondering- if he'd been alive and all the other Death Eaters dead, would that have revealed him and made the count zero? Or would it have stayed as one?

And dang it Solanis, when you start pushing to have their Big Guy dead, they'd obviously know you weren't loyal to them, why didn't you just say you knew who he was instead of making up a roleblock power? It would have saved me a lot of trouble and paranoia.

Waitaminute- who did roleblock Trinit then? Did anyone roleblock Trinit? Did someone protect Casilu? Suddenly I understand nothing.

Hey, there really was an Irish Quidditch player in the game!

Added note: this is me being confused, not asking you to tell me. Remain a sneaker, please! Continue to do a good job, whoever the hell you are.

Well, aside from finding us the big bad, he did protect whomever is the roleblocker/doctor by being the bigger distraction.

Yeah, but now I spent all that time and energy being suspicious of him that I could have used on someone/thing else. That is true though, I had not thought of it that way.

So now I am freeeee and I can look into other things. First thing to look at: wondering about the nature of the two kills last night. Anyone have any bright ideas?

I've edited it to clarify. I knew I forgot something.
Lilia2010-12-24 00:18:19
I'm a little confused about the Quidditch guy. I don't have the time/ability to look back over the thread, since I'm supposed to be updating my Grandma's computer. Can someone figure that all out and explain to me? There was somthing on the first or second night about the Irish, wasn't there? Will that help us at all?

The group leads Vendetta into one of the corridors. One of the people-- was it Dumbledore? was it Voldemort? nobody knows-- animates a suit of armor, which grabs ahold of Vendetta and cleaves him in two.

(( FYI-- I lost the flash drive that had the most recent edition of the roles, so the exact text might be a wee bit off from what I sent you. I didn't change any of the powers, though-- just the exact role text. ))

Just as Vendetta falls to the ground, slain, some Irish Wizarding officials rush in, demanding to know what's going on. As they push themselves towards the body, however, Peeves bursts from behind the suit of armor, taking off for one of the towers, with the Irish wizards in hot pursuit.
It is now Night 1. You have 24 hours to send in your night actions.

EDIT: Nil, my other flashdrive just gave up the ghost too. I've got another partial backup that I'll work from, but some roles' exact text have been lost sad.gif I'll PM you if I need your role. Sorry about that.

I don't see any significance in that...
Gleip2010-12-24 11:04:41
What seems suggested to me was that AtS targetted the scum last night and got killed for it. So if someone tracked AtS, that oughta give us a clue as to who the last scum is.
Ssaliss2010-12-24 11:34:51
Hrm. I'll likely be rather scarce over the holidays... I'll hopefully be able to check in a few times a day though.

As for who seems suspicious... honestly, I don't have a clue. I still have an odd gut-feeling about Gleip, but he doesn't really seem to be scum. Could just be what I ate.

Also, regarding that Irish dude... I find it odd that there were two NKs this time; his role doesn't say anything about dying with the one you socialized with, just that the Irish wiz-police will investigate either of the deaths and that he's got a chance to find something out. Which leads me to believe that either A) for some reason, there's two NKs now or B) that he investigated Snape and the NK had an AoE-kill, if you will.
Ileein2010-12-24 13:59:08
It seems a little odd that there would be another NK magically in the endgame-- though I suppose that'd be an interesting power to deploy. It seems more likely that the DE's version of the mafiakill kills the target and anyone else who was associating with them. The only problem with that summation is that it might also include investigations, doctor protection, maybe even roleblocks, who knows. Did anyone do any of those things to Solanis last night? SPECIAL NOTE DON'T ACTUALLY ANSWER SNEAKY IS GOOD.

Well... I'd wager that Sabers did so last night, since he was killed. I very much doubt it goes though doctors though (it'd hardly make sense).
Ileein2010-12-24 15:17:01
Yeah, that's the idea-- anyone other than Sabers. It seems a little odd that a DE would have a killpower that kills the target and also this one other person should he happen to be visiting the target, no?
