It's making me "want to kill you" because it's not adding much, while creating an illusion of activity. Gush if you want, but make sure you mix it with a little actual speculation.

Dang I had meant to reply to this in the other post. I had a significant amount of caffeine for the first time in a year yesterday. blush.gif I got a little...excitable.

Who do we have who hasn't yet posted at all, I wonder?
Unknown2010-11-08 16:30:04
Lorick hasn't posted yet, though the game has not been up for 24 hours yet.
Unknown2010-11-08 16:35:18
Lorick should be posting plenty once he sees the topic is up.

How many votes are on Othero now? I think it's up to like 4 or 5 now - might want to watch for the ninja lynching until more people have a chance to catch up. And while we're talking about voting, did Othero immediately move his vote anywhere after unvoting? I can't recall offhand.

Just a minor notice. I will be here and there for the day, I have a bit of work to get done for tomorrow so I may be looking at the thread but not posting (although I have been known to idle on the thread...)

I don't have access to the wiki right now; what can Clover do, in-universe?

QUOTE ("The Felt - MSPA Wiki")
4 - Clover

Most likely named for the four-leaf variety of that plant and his Leprechaun-like personality and stature.

Clover is extremely superstitious, getting very worked up when Spades Slick attempts to destroy The Felt vault with the Crowbar. His skills include amazing luck, as well as (apparently) the power of flight. His luck apparently makes him very difficult to actually harm (he states that a gun pointed at him would probably just jam), although this hasn't been visibly tested. Likely functions as an accountant/brains figure, but is far from tight-lipped. He will gladly provide advice to anyone, even the rival Midnight Crew — if, that is, the person asking is able to solve one of his mindbending time-based riddles. Despite his stated immunity to grievous harm, he can still be enticed to help with less lethal instruments, such as a rolled-up newspaper — this renders his riddling somewhat moot.

Clover is deceased in the final timeline Spades is sent to. It is possible that the opening of the vault caused enough bad luck to render his powers useless.

Heh. Well, it is certainly better to post a lot than to post little. And this is mafia. Everyone can at any time be pounced upon and proclaimed SCUM!

Except Kira. She can convince people that townie main character is scum after being proven scum herself.

Anyway, besides Lorick not posting, there's Arath and Arix with 1 post each. Arix informed that he needs a bit more time to get in order before participating, while Arath posted at the start, and have yet to post again, but that's likely a matter of time and place for him as well.

My guess is the Clover role, whoever fills it, is immune to nightkills, given that description.
Unknown2010-11-08 17:21:47
Let's give them a little time.

With what Othero has posted since my last post, I realise how I might have misinterpreted the particularly scummy sentence I mentioned, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. I can see where you were coming from, though the 'wellllll maybe my role's correlation was a one-off chance coincidence' vibe I'm getting still has me on the fence. I'll leave my vote where it is until I can go through things in the morning.
Ileein2010-11-08 17:22:11
Or possibly some other form of harm. Damn, this no-edit thing is really getting to me.
Unknown2010-11-08 17:25:33
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Nightkill immunity is normally a scum power, though, so people tend to be reluctant to claim it.

Or maybe just a probability it will happen? Full immunity is pretty powerful, and it's kind of presumptuous to assume that everyone is going to be loaded down with powers in this game. Particularly now, since that... comb rave thing is at zero. I'm assuming some people are going to gain more power as that thing goes up, no?
Kiradawea2010-11-08 17:39:45
When Lorick comes around, there will be page explosion. tongue.gif

Othero didn't immediately move his vote after unvoting. I don't think he currently is voting.

Then I am not inclined to immediately suspect Othero. He had a theory, he changed his mind, and he didn't hop straight away on some other train or try to rally behind a new lynch drive of his own.

Actually, it's more of a claim often employed by scum to explain why they've survived this far into the game, nevermind the fact that scum rarely help that as a plausible explanation by not killing. When it actually is a power, it tends to belong to town and be limited in some way, such as % chance, or onetwothreeshot.

And anyone know anything at all about the Comb Rave? It seems suggested that it is a good thing but... *shrug*

Yeah. The problem is, the article says that Team Sleuth are the ones that can use the nectar, and those guys look like they're a third party, as opposed to Felt or Midnight Crew. It may be just as prudent to assume it's a bad thing.
Kiradawea2010-11-08 18:00:56
Perhaps it is similar to the robotzombienazicyborgs from the random game, where if it reaches a level equal to the amount of players left, it is game over?
Unknown2010-11-08 18:05:31
We'll worry about it when it starts going up. It's unfair to ask people if they have any powers related to it just yet, since that's more information than most would be willing to share on day one, and it won't be an issue for anyone until it moves from zero.

Why were people voting for Caerulo again? I really need to read more closely before I start writing new posts.

Vote: Caerulo assuming the cards mean anything seems like a silly way to start. Cards are just an easy way at randomizing the picks.

That's why Othero voted for Caerulo. No one else did, and it's that reasoning we're picking apart.

I thought I counted five, but I'll wait for Casilu to clear that up. It's probably getting close to the danger zone anyways.

Posting too much can be just as scummy as posting too little, as we've learned in other games. Most people think that it's a good thing to post often, but when you (general you here) just clutter the thread with pointless chatter and it can distract people that way.

I'd say whoever Clover is, if Cloveer did make the game, it's probably not a straight up immunity. Even the blurb that was posted about Clover didn't give the impression it would for sure stop harm against him, he just said that his good luck would but nobody had tried it. It's probably a chance based if it does offer protection to the person.

Hopefully have more to say later, I'm having trouble concentrating, I need far more caffeine! laugh.gif Just not fast enough without.
