You play like an asshole and slowed the game down with your crazy. Shut up.
This post bothers me.
Also, the one above this one also bothers me, because it assumes Othero is town.

I think you're using an either/or logical fallacy to get one of two townies lynched.
Unknown2010-12-04 20:07:35
Why wouldn't I assume myself town?
Unknown2010-12-04 20:25:25
Right now, I'm suspicious of either Phoebus or Vendetta. Here's why:
They weren't at home on Night 0 despite claiming to have no Night action and to have not used it respectively.
No one has claimed to have targeted them. No one's claimed abilities seem like they would bring them out of their homes if they targeted them.
Tekora's ability was confirmed in his death, and both Romertien and I have claimed to have targeted him on Night 0, and hence neither of us could have targeted Ssaliss on Night 0.
Vendetta's ability seems to be pretty strange too. She couldn't use her ability on Night 0 and 1, but could use it on Night 2?
Looking at the other conditional Night abilities, they seem to be based on votes of the previous day. I couldn't seem to find any possible pattern that would allow Vendetta to use her ability on Night 2, but not Night 1.

I'm mildly suspicious of Vendetta myself, mostly due to the general silence. Hence my diagnosis, which if we're following previous patterns...will be mostly useless. But it makes me feel like I can do something at least!

Caerulo's been pretty helpful when he hasn't just been posting flavour posts, I think.
The most suspicious thing about him is he just happened to visit the last person to die on the night they died, which isn't terribly substantial and lends itself to circular arguments more than anything else (omg, why would he admit to that if he was the killer, omg, what if he admitted to it to make us think that, cycle cycle cycle).
I have the most annoying and horribly awkward skill mechanic. I get told no one needs a haircut and I have to sit on my thumbs, until recently. I got a choice to make an appointment for Phoebus or Caerulo today, no idea why Romertien or Othero didn't. Maybe they are bald.
Othero is settling more heavily into OMGus territory. Hmm.

So we want to lynch...?
Gleip2010-12-06 15:59:35
Someone. If you timeout today, it's game over.
Mirami2010-12-06 16:03:37
Well, that wouldn't be good
Unknown2010-12-06 16:08:43
Give me a few to reread the thread. I'm still not wholly decided, and I want to check back on a few things to see if I'm remembering correctly or if my brain's making things up that Romertien said.
Unknown2010-12-06 16:10:22
Oh yeah, if Gleip posted, then I'm sure that means Phoebus got her results.

I guess where I disagree is that the evidence supports your theory, then. I feel that the evidence presented indicates he's scum. On a one to ten scale of telling scum from town, Othero's coming up as an 8 or 9 based on my evidence, and the evidence from Caerulo I don't see supporting his innocence, either. Violent video games + rage control books sounds awfully scummish. Or serial-killer-ish.
So, what I want to ask (and keep trying to ask), is: How, does the evidence, prove that Othero is innocent?
Othero's clarified what his power does, and that part makes enough sense to me now to discount the confusion from earlier on that particular part, but I'm not following Rika's train of logic, particularly how the evidence mentioned above proves Othero's innocence.

This has been a focal point of the drive put behind lynching Othero during the previous day. It would make sense if everyone in town was otherwise super sweet, goody-two-shoe citizens, but that does not appear to be the case. Ssaliss likely would have shown up with some sort of record (albiet misdemeanors), Tekora had a record of some sort, too...
QUOTE (rika @ Nov 29 2010, 02:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Tekora's got a criminal record. Now he's pushing for a lynch on someone who is quite obviously town.
And diamondais was an ex-thug of ill-repute. Taking the sort of attitude Romertien has been taking with any of them, particularly with that "guilty until proven innocent" angle, we could have ended up trying to lynch quite a number of townies.
There's been a lot of OMGus behaviour lately, and the two that really got it going both ended up as dead townies, so I'm not sure how effective relying on ad hominems for lynch direction is at this point. Which brings us to this:

It was a bit uncharateristic for Othero, but then, it also was posted after Tekora had sealed his own fate. It wasn't going to change any outcomes or goad him into taking more extreme measures - he'd already done the worst he could do.
Saying "Othero shouldn't assume himself to be town" is quite possibly the worst argument I've seen in this game. If someone starts spinning theories where they are the scum, they may as well just vote for themselves.
Vote: Romertien
Unknown2010-12-06 17:25:35
I can go with that. I'm down to Caerulo or Romertien on my own scum list and I could really take either of them as scum.

The medical results are finally in!:

You may want to carry a grudge, cause Vendetta is in great physical shape. No illnesses of any kind, good eyesight, good hearing. Everything is as it should be. Even his blood pressure is normal, with not an ounce of stress.

ABLUHBLUH POSTING OH NO DON'T KILL US
Ok what do we want to do? I don't want to die! Should I just vote for Romertien so we do something besides fizzle out and die? CHOICES.

Whatever you feel like you need to do. I've made my case and cast my vote, and I don't feel inclined to change it with no additional player input just for the sake of trying to make the game move, particularly when that might not even spur anyone to activity.
If you don't feel Romertien is the scum, vote for someone else and make your case! Otherwise, we look to be pretty, erm, stuck.

Kill me, and we'll fizzle out and die

Honestly, I'm not sure what I want to do, all I know is that it is not me, and that I am suspicious of you, Vendetta! uh. Mostly because I don't know anything about you besides that you're a barber with a very nice medical record. Also Caerulo, who mostly just does nice big summaries of what has happened, which is very good and helpful, suspiciously helpful! Hrg. I've been too busy to really do a whole bunch of analyzing and poking around and what not for all this. I kind of just want it to be over at this point, but I'd rather we end it ourselves, than have it ended for us...
Yknow, screw it, I've been suspicious of him all game, so I'm going to Vote: Caerulo.

Would be nice to hear from Caerulo now.
Unknown2010-12-08 04:43:13
Pretty much. I think at this point my vote is for sale. I could go Romertien, I could go Caerulo. Vendetta and Phoebus are both town in my head and that is more or less not going to change. So make a decision on it and I'll just be the 3rd vote on one of those two.
Unknown2010-12-08 07:14:46
Eh, Phoebus, you're voting for me because I'm suspiciously helpful? Also, I can't really defend against gut feelings, can I?
I'm still suspicious of Vendetta:
NIght 0:
Othero - Calls everyone
Phoebus - Did nothing (but Othero says she's not at home)
Vendetta - Did nothing (but Othero says she's not at home)
Romertien - Targeted Tekora (confirmed by Tekora's ability)
Caerulo - Targeted Tekora (confirmed by Tekora's ability)
Everyone else - dead townies, couldn't have possibly killed Ssaliss
Now, Othero, didn't you said somewhere in the thread before that scum lies? Someone between Othero, Phoebus and Vedetta is lying, and therefore scum.
So, why Vendetta?
Her Night ability condition. I don't buy her claim. A Night ability which you have no idea when you can use it, and is only restricted to two people which you do not know the criteria? Looking at Diamondais' and Rika's abilities, their Night action is similarly restricted, BUT they are clearly stated as to when and who they can use their abilities on.
Hence,
