If it's me, I want you all to know that I do want a turn, but it isn't going to be this week.

Oh man, I died already? ):
I can't recall if I had made my solid gold tomb yet, or if I had done that after exporting the save.

I do not think many people will survive my incompetent and Caligula-like rule.
Tekora2010-12-15 14:31:23
By golly, Llesvelt, stop killing everybody before the rest of us get a shot. Geez.
Llesvelt2010-12-15 14:39:09
They just keep dying all the time!
I am in a tantrum spiral, I am afraid.

Continuing my magnificent rule, I noticed that quite a few of my lovely subjects found themselves tired and bedless. Likewise, I noticed that quite a few of our bedrooms had been left unused. Being the productive and excellent Mayor/Administrator/Bookkeeper/Broker I set right to the task and let every worthy servant of my perfect utopia have a room to themselves. Well, until I ran out of rooms, that is.
There should be no problem with that, as the population of the fortress seems to have decreased drastically since last I checked. How curious, I wonder why?
More madness, more killing. Poor, poor subjects. At least they can await the day where my magnificent palace is complete!
I have gotten some worrying reports about the hygiene of the upper-floors dormitory the last few days, probably nothing. I swear, these drunken fools can be such divas sometimes. Well, they will just have to suck it up!
On the insistence of my advisors we did send some haulers up there upon being told that the alleged bad hygiene was caused by corpses.
What a horrible place to die, dead people have no manners these days.
Some time later, some elven bastards arrived from the east. The uglies tend to do this once a year.
At around the same time a small goblin raid arrived.
And then they fought eachother, while I laughed. Repeatedly.
I allowed them to largely wipe out eachother, the goblins in the end standing victorious. Then I drowned them and their troll friends in magma. All in a days work.
Sadly, it seemed that for some weird reason a lot of my servants had been outside that day, so even more dwarves have now been "killed" to use the professional term. The morale of the story being, of course, that if you want to be safe you should stay underground and work on my palace.
Sad news about stupid subjects aside, the summer was warming and for a few weeks nothing major had happened, no sudden catastrophes or unexplainable cruelties inflicted by almighty and uncaring gods.
That is, until one of our magma floodgates suddenly was gone. Like, poof, gone.
I was, naturally, quite furious. How dare this floodgate abandon us while we are still in need of its services? One of my advisors adviced that perhaps the trolls had destroyed the floodgate and I simply had not noticed due to the joy of releasing magma to kill them. I agreed that this was probably the case.
But we still had a rift in our magma-defence-system.
Deciding there was little I could do about it, I promptly ignored it. It will probably work itself out somehow. And soon, probably.
To make matter worse, it was revealed to me that I had not actually killed -all- the goblins from the last attack. A medium-small group of survivors had taken to walking around neatly at the edge of my magma, mocking me with their very existence.
Time went by, half the year had passed by now. I went for a walk a while ago and I noticed that the halls of our fortress had been rather, quiet, for quite a while now. The work on my palace had slowed considerably by now.
At that moment, being confronted with the horrible realization that it would be even longer before I could sip dwarven rum on my solid gold throne in my palace, I got a message from one of our few still-living sentries.
Something had been spotted.
This was not good.
At the same time some of our last living dwarves were ambushed by despicable Kobolds.
Definitely not good.
So, I made sure to push some of the corpses out of the way so I could close down all access to the fortress (since our defence system had been rather ruined and all). Then I barricaded myself in my future grand palace, deciding to wait this out.
Everything is going to be a-okay!

I think you guys are going to have to ignore my playthrough and continue from Lehki's if you want to continue this, my fortress is just about to lie down and die, I am afraid.

Could I just be outright removed? I didn't even volunteer originally, it was just assumed. I'd be up for it maybe in another game, in the far future, say next year this time.
Razenth2010-12-15 18:17:39
Confirmed, I'll prob pick this up around the weekend.
Razenth2010-12-20 06:44:51
