I think we did a comparison when I was in the Aquas, they are filthy rich.

If I recall right they bought the city battle-chess and still had more gold than any other guild in the city...

And Eventru definitely is one of the Gods with the most essence, I think Viravain is right up there too but I can't really compare.

And how do you define 'wealth'? Iasmos has like... 30K artifacts, does that make him richer than anyone with more disposable money?

Yeah, that clouds over things pretty quickly. You can do the same with orgs - do you judge based solely on their current gold/credits, or on how many shinies and additions and special things they bought for themselves with millions and millions more gold?
Krackenor2010-12-06 18:58:17
Given the size and complexity of Deepnight, I think Richter might be on that list somewhere.
Aerotan2010-12-06 19:07:37
Arandor, too, most certainly falls in there somewhere on the 'active' list, especially with as many contests as he holds. And we can't discount people like Lendren, who own at least one cartel for each trade that can have them.
Lendren2010-12-06 19:12:45
I think my artifacts came out to just a bit more than Iasmos's, but it's a pretty close thing either way.
Unknown2010-12-06 20:02:23
At last count, I had about 119 artifacts, worth just under 18K escrow value. I've spent about 31K credits on artifacts, lessons (omintrans + 3 dormant so far), shop, beast (1975 so far), etc, but I lost track after the first couple thousand credits (years ago).

I'd put Geb on the list, too. He's spent thousands of dollars on the game, I believe, and I only recently surpassed his number of artifacts, unless I'm mistaken. (I'm planning to buy a few more soon, but decisions are hard!)

i heard that Glint made 62 million gold at one point. Can anyone support this claim?
Unknown2010-12-07 05:28:31
Zarquan and Iasmos are the same person >>
Unknown2010-12-07 13:41:07
Did you just figure this out? Or did you think someone else hadn't figured it out yet?
Shulamit2010-12-07 13:44:23
I...didn't? I'm not good with figuring out alts, though, so...there's got to be more people out there that suck at alt guessing, I guess?

He's referring to the list in the first post where Falcon has both of your names on it.

Ah, I hadn't noticed the OP was updated, though with the blanks it had initially, I should've checked that.

Iasmos isn't an alt. I just don't use the same name for the forums. (So, if there ever is a Zarquan in the game, it's not me!)

I'm going to guess someone added one too many zeros, and it was actually 6.2 million.

If someone had 62 million gold, the credit market would be empty right now. And probably would stay that way for months. tongue.gif

Since Ialie left me Starhaven and five cartels, I imagine if I counted everything from my inheritance that'd jump up a fair bit farther. How liquid does an asset have to be to count? All my manses together are easily bigger than Deepnight and include four aetherships amongst them, for instance, but the largest one is an inheritance that'd go back to Ialie if she ever became active again.

Well, I don't know. I'd calculate it with item value + land value + current (gold / credits) + artifacts = total number

Item value for me, for example, would be (1,500,000 for 2 clans, 1 cartel)

Land value (18.5 million) + current gold so 450k + credits so 400 + artifacts so, that's (1000 + 200 + 250 +100 + 450 + 50 + 50, so 2100). I'm going off and putting credits at 6k each here, so 2500 credits by 6k is 15 million gold. Add that all up, 17.45 million (item + credit + current gold) + 18.5 equals 35.95 million gold

35.95 million gold is what I am worth.
Ixion2010-12-08 22:35:54
As is true in RL, if you can count how much you're worth, you're not worth very much.
Unknown2010-12-08 22:47:27
In that case, I'm glad I lost count!

I wonder if I'm the biggest Philanthropist...
