There will be a lunar eclipse on the winter solstice! 21st for those who don't bother with that stuff.

Take a peeksee to see when it is! Just look for the one on December 21st, click it and then a PDF file will open to show you everything. If you happen to get pictures or videos of it, be sure to share.

Neat website, thanks! I hope to see it, but depends on what the weather is like.

I have some pictures! They're a bit big and blurry though, so forgive me.

Yeah, was still too bright to see the moon. And it's 8:45pm.

I saw it while it was about 3/4 of the way eclipsed. So nice =)

My night was cloudy.

Mine was snowy/sleety, but my cousin took pictures of it from where she lives. happy.gif

Eclipse was beautiful! Where I live there are no street lights, so I went down to the shore to watch the moon for a bit. Was quite pleasant! It's fun to think this is the first time in more than 300 years the eclipse has occurred on the Winter Solstice.

I was really looking forward to this, though if I went outside last night and stared at the sky, I would have been covered in snow in like five minutes. Not to mention there were clouds... I guess I could wait another 700 years.

Sky was perfectly clear here, was just too cold to stay out. Went to look every so often and saw the red moon though.

I blame you.

It was storming really badly here, but we still went outside (because my friends and I are crazy) and we sorta saw a bit, maybe, because the moon was so bright behind the clouds... but then again maybe not. dry.gif
