@Sahmiam: How's this sound for the proposed "make curing ablaze harder" affliction that Twirl Staff would get: BlackFire - by channeling the ice cold inferno of the Pyre of the Avaricious Fire, the flames around a target are made inextinguishable by frost or mending. Cured by drinking fire.

Again, do keep in mind that we already have a ton of afflictions. Making burn levels uncurable while ablaze kinda makes sense though.

I would say push forward an envoy report this month requesting that burn levels be incurable during ablaze and that burn levels increase fire damage taken scaling per level of burn level. See how that works.

They said no more afflictions before the new guilds came out, and look at how many new afflictions there are. I don't think a sensible affliction would be as severe as you're making it out to be.

@Greleag: It should be frost as it would interplay with the sip frost defs, etc.

Ablaze stopping burn curing is really flavorful and seems like a nice buff without being over the top. It has my theory-only combatant seal of approval.

Hardly making it sound severe. All I'm speaking from is the warning repeated to me often enough about introducing new afflictions to the sheer amount we already have. I could care less if this 'no curing ablaze with frost until this affliction is cured first' goes in to help the Pyros.

As for the new guilds and the new afflictions those came with, you can toss that up to the administration. In my memory, I don't think I can recall the last time an envoy wanted to add that particular amount of new afflictions in one go.

It might be nice if pyros had a demesne effect that actually ignited people on tic...
