How does it work for orgs though? Say one leader has the seal and log out, and another leader has need of it, can they call it or does it have to be constantly stored somewhere?

There can be more than one seal. They're not that expensive once the design (i.e., use the certificate) is paid for.

It'd have to be stored... or, you can make several of them, one per leader. Actually building them is cheap; it's only making the design that's expensive, so you can have tons of seals, but only one (or a few) designs for your org seal.

I went through and made a public design for every type of action origami, but I got horrendously lazy at the thought of needing to make ~28 new designs.

So ModularOrigami/Kirigami/WetfoldOrigami only have one public design available for each.

When you want to submit a type of origami that doesn't have a pattern (they're all actionorigami atm) just make the actionorigami, then DESIGN # TYPE .

This novice origami, does it have a designable message when it opens, or is it always generic?

Who counts as a leader for various orgs for the purposes of sealing?

EDIT: Also, is it necessary to submit stamp designs as cartel designs, or are they all going to be public, given the fact that they can only be made in the presence of the person they're made for and then used by said person?

Stamp designs are always public. I guess that's so if your bookbinder vanishes you can still get the design -- it's limited by who can get it, not who can make it. And the bookbinder gets his kickback when it's designed, not when it's made.

About who counts as a leader, not sure yet, I've asked and will post this on the wiki once I get it. One thing I found out is that for clans, it's the leader or whoever has the new (not yet in the help) Sealholder investible privilege.

Right. It's like artisans making keys: you need the sealholder present, and it gets made into their hands, not the bookbinder's hands. Even if someone else got their hands on it, they couldn't use it.

Another thing: if stamping requires 1 redtint, does that mean it's not possible to change the color of the ink in the seal_text? If so, that's rather silly.

My thought would be no, since it needs to be a stamp/chop/seal as a primary verb.

Signet rings is a thought, and may be something we allow in the future, but that's not really my call.

(Although as has been pointed out to me, the design for chops follows the eastern art - which used ink instead of wax, which was what signet rings were used for.)

I asked about this too. Turns out it's because this is building on an Eastern tradition where it's always red ink; it symbolizes blood and/or luck. See here and here.
