As Othero declares his intention to execute BroadwayBlueShirt, silence descends over the locale. A phantom drum begins to play - softly at first, but building up into a crescendo of noise. Just as it climaxes, a psychedelic guitar riff twangs, and BroadwayBlueShirt falls to the ground, blood leaking from a wound dead-centre of his forehead.
BroadwayBlueShirt was The Beatles.
"When your prized possessions start to weigh you down, look in my direction - I'll be round, I'll be round."
I assume you require no introduction... but here's one anyway. The biggest rock band of all time, you've done all there is to do: pop, alternative, prog, country. You've even dabbled in (proto)metal (THERE'S BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!) - you're smart, savvy and iconic.
Abilities:
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS - Due to your immense following, all your votes count for double. Though you must announce this ability when used (by posting GONNA TRY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS!), you can use it indefinitely.
STRANGE BEDFELLOWS - Despite your differing views of rock, you can communicate with fellow British invasion band The Rolling Stones (Romertien) at night via PM.
You win with the town.
Votecount:
Anumi - 2 (Othero, Casilu)
Othero - 2 (Gleip, Anumi)
With 7 alive, it's 4 to lynch. The deadline's a-loomin' - by my count, it should be nigh in another 3 hours.

Ah well. Was fun. Hopefully I'll do better next game.

Gee. I'm sorry for assuming that you were planning on playing the game. If you aren't gonna say or share anything after four days, why bother signing up? Thinking that you were gonna say something is a completely justified assumption.
There is a difference. During the four days I was gone, I didn't post because I couldn't. After I posted that I've returned, I didn't post because I didn't have anything to say.
QUOTE (Gleip @ Jan 24 2011, 10:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
As for the second part. That's just gross misinterpretation that isn't even a very good interpretation. The statement is basically "If I could vig, I would've killed Anumi". In other words, I am saying that I don't have a kill power. Yet you're twisting that into making it sound like I can kill and that I am therefore a SK.
Precisely, because if I didn't have a kill-power, it wouldn't even have been an option for me to consider, and I wouldn't even have mentioned it. The fact that you mentioned it means that it was on your mind when you were thinking about Anumi.
QUOTE (Gleip @ Jan 24 2011, 10:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
That, and you are way too willing to brush Othero aside. I mean, the guy up and apparently DKed someone who had just admitted to a role that can be instantly disproven and which wouldn't harm town all that much should the real mason speak up.
If you'll notice, all of my posts were before Othero had used his daykill, except for the previous one, where it is obvious that I wrote the post and sent it before I saw his daykill. Note that at the point of those posts, it was not yet a given that he was really a Dk-er, or who he was going to use it on.
As per the underlined section, if BBS had been lying about his role, you can be fairly sure that he is out to harm town.
Right now, the fact that Othero has used his daykill is already done. What we can do now, is to wait for the role reveal for BBS, and then use that information to decide whether Othero is scum or not.

Meh, I have a tendency to post anti-climatic posts.

Where have all the good men gone, and where are all the gods.
Oh wait, we've killed them.
Oh wait, we've killed them.
Unknown2011-01-24 03:50:04
Well. I don't know what to make of this now. On the one hand, Othero has a history of acting rashingly when put on the spot even when Town (Investigation Mafia comes to mind instantly), and with the possibility of the next night bringing another two town deaths, I feel like we can't afford much in the way of mistakes. On the other hand, I'm not sure we want to have to risk that sort of behaviour flaring up again later, and I'm not especially convinced that Anumi is a better vote at this point.
How often do mafia end up having day kills? I can't recall any such instance of this.
Also, a slight change of subject, but one which I'll need to decide on shortly: should I announce who I intend to follow tonight? Keeping in mind that if no one really answers this, I'll just keep my decision to myself.

It isn't that rare, actually. In fact, we had one last game in the Harry Potter Mafia.

It was Phoebus, I think, she used it to kill Gleip on the last day.
Now, I'm actually a little surprised that you didn't die last night. A smart scum would go after a more or less confirmed investigator, no?
Though, I'm also in the same pickle as you, I'm wondering if I should switch my vote to Othero for that reason, especially since the deadline is coming.

Well, if it's the masked scum that roleblocked me or whatever, then I'm probably stuck with a much bigger pickle, since I'll have found the godfather on night one and will be regulated to having no new information for the rest of the game if this keeps up. If they can make me a convincing target for a lynch, then that'd be more useful to scum than nightkilling me.
And since no one's claimed to have visited me last night, or made an insinuation of the sort as of yet, that would look to be the case now.
I could soon be in a situation similar to Othero's.

You're more or less confirmed town. There HAS to be a better reason than that. (Unless you're crazy enough to lynch the Godfather on the first day to make yourself look like town.)
Also, I thought our role-blocked died on day 1/night 1? I can't remember which, but I thought he died, and I do not think in an all-power role game we would have a back-up role.

I got punched out. Unfortunately, that's about as descriptive as I can get, aside from adding the fact that my assailant crooned a guttural, "Not tonight, honey". Which was probably Jack having some fun with things.
Clearly, this was not a reactionary power that BBS had, since we've seen his role in full now. What possibilities are left?

I am saying that it was a scum roleblocker (since ours died)- also not an uncommon thing. I would venture to guess that if one of the Mafioso have a power, the other one might since EVERYONE has a power.

Right.
Othero, I'd seen you poking around in the topic a few times, so I was surprised that your post didn't eventually amount to anything. Can you at least provide some reason as to why you found BBS especially fishy, more so than the person you were voting on?
Everyone else seems to be quiet, so this is probably going to come down to Casilu and I making a decision.
