I figure it's safe now

And yeah, the Eva-Beatrice reveal did hurt scum quite a bit, I think With her revealed, Beatrice was all of a sudden far less likely to be scum, otherwise we likely could've taken out at least her as well. Probably wouldn't have changed the end result though.
Also, evil random roleblocks.

So close, I could have gotten awesome kill immunity powahs.
I had fun for the short bit I was in the game though, love the flavour. The quicktopics look pretty cool, too.
Thanks for the game, uu-uu~!

Hehe, I had fun too, even if it was a 'lalala, hi guys- oh crap, we're DOOMED' kind of fun.
Ileein2011-02-15 13:24:34
Oh, damn, if I had resurrected Silferras she'd have come back awakened. Oh well. Rezzing Shiri worked in our favor anyway.

Well, that was my first time as scum, if I'm recalling all the games I played. Obviously I made mistakes, but I'd like to think for the first half I stayed close-ish to my normal (townie) playstyle and really didn't attract a whole lot of suspicion. It all kind of went to poo when there was mass claims, Ssaliss failed at his, and there were roleblocks/confirmed group connections/investigations going off everywhere. I basically knew once Ssaliss got axed that we were SOL, but it was still fun. At the end Furien offered to just end it at night, but I don't surrender. I knew no matter what you guys would lynch me - I was the obvious choice no matter what you believed, but yeah, overall it was a fun experience for me as I'd never been scum before.
Thanks for the game.

Well, to be fair, it didn't help that you kept going on about how you were surprised you weren't killed during the night when nothing you claimed was of value, if you hadn't said anything about that, you might have been dismissed.

Oh, and see, Casilu, I'm not always scum!
Unknown2011-02-15 16:09:04
I think this was the first Mafia game I actually won.

Mine, too! I had fun. Thanks, Furien.

I disagree. Almost everyone else was confirmed town through mechanical means, and Shiri returned a positive scum result on me. Even if I'd said nothing, town would have had to been idiots to not lynch me next.

Also, "kept going on about how you were surprised" actually was just one sentence in one post. That's ok, though, I like hyperboles.

I expected Town to axe me the second I roleclaimed.

Whee. Told you guys Tekora was scum. I told you.
Although powerwise, scum was screwed even from the start. While including a paranoid investigator was a good idea, there were too many indirect confirmations running around. Flavour games put a huge strain on scum, because the scum group is typically those you would consider as scum. Especially mass claims hurt them. Flavouring Gleip's roleblock for example made it obvious that he was scum. Flavour needs to be ambigious or misleading, as while scum can manipulate various statements and use strategies to counter most defenses, they can't do a thing against mod confirmation by proxy of flavour. Sure, there was Beato, but she was indirectly confirmed town by the Mariage Sorciere. So town quickly ended up having five flavour confirmed town. Two by the Solanis/Shannon certain mason group, two by the Sorciere being displayed as town (town really needs to be punished in such circumstances, but at least this time scum managed to dig their own grave by confirming Syl as town) and Rika confirmed town by Census-Taking.
But as I've said in the PM, I had fun while it lasted, even though I didn't take the game very serious. I do have one question though. Since there were only three scum and town were on the brink of having a ton more powers, how was there ever a MyLo?

If we had gotten Phoebus (I think?) four votes, she would've been dead and the day would've carried on. We'd then lynch another town and kill a third at night, ending in a win for us.
Kiradawea2011-02-15 22:11:54
Ah right. If you had killed Solanis, Dia would've died too (or vice versa) bringing it to a 6, instead of the 7 I kept ending up with.

Funnily enough, my first thought was to block Gleip/Caerulo over AtS that night, but my reasoning for blocking AtS was exactly as you said in your quicktopic Caerulo; I'd know if AtS had taken an action or not.
