It occurred to me that the iteration of Alternia that Aranae describes is essentially how Feferi wanted to run things when she became Empress. And in the pre-scratch world I guess she probably was the one in charge.

Meenah parallels her in that she was going against the grain of the higher castes, being a HUGE BITCH GLUB GLUB when the norm was gentle care-takers, where-as Feferi was a super friendly girl when the upper castes were basically cruel dictators.

I am sitting at work bored right now, and I got Homestuck on the mind so I just feel like rambling.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SERIOUSLY GO SEE TODAY'S UPDATE IF YOU HAVEN'T YET. I AM NOT KIDDING.


Okay up to date now? Cool. So yeah. Major reveal. Just from UU's appareance and her pointing out uu is a time player. It seems pretty likely uu is a young LE. But I am just looking back at what hints towards that existed already.

First could have made a guess about uu and UU's hero aspects. UU was always mentioning a two player minimum and there were two aspects I previously thought neccasary, Time and Space. And UU definitely fit the Space role, being a Prospit dreamer awake before the game, thus leaving Time for uu. The Alpha session hero aspects threw some doubt on that theory, but confirmed now and seems Dave and Jade and their planets will fill those roles in the Alpha session.

Looking back a big hint for me should have been when Dirk suggested that LE stole the name English. Considering that this is Homestuck it should have been obvious that he is going to steal it from Jake at some point. While thar doesn't point directly to uu I think it is a strong hint that towsrds st least being somebody familiar with Jake.

Just looking at what we know about uu's personality and nature, it lines up with LE. uu wants in the game just so he can :censor: :censor: up, wants to kill everybody, and seems to have a bunch of obscure rules he has to follow. LE's mysterious agenda of invading universes just to tear them apart? Sounds like something uu would do just because he could. And the mysterious preperations for summonging LE go along with the weird rules thing.

So think I'm reading too much into stuff? Or see any other little hints thar were hidden there before today? :P

Really, the only thing that's keeping me from believing it is that it would be too obvious. But I can't stop picturing some final battle scene, where Lord English shows up, and Roxy yells out a distraught, "Calliope!" and he just sort of falls over and wakes up as UU. Because we're all on the same page about them sharing a body, right? >_>

Yeah I think the shared body seems pretty likely. Though to me that would seem rather anti-climatic if LE was stopped simply like that.

I think it was back on his old formspring, so not going to even try to find it, but I recall Hussie saying once that not everything has to be a surprise twist, sometimes the things you're expecting to happen, can be the most awesome to happen.

Another thought that occurred to me though. Muse of Space is supposed to be the most passive class of them all, which I guess means letting her aspect really benefit others a lot and not herself much at all? Maybe something like, letting others manipulate Space? Sort of like the Green Sun? Which is green like Calliope's lime green blood? I'm going to bet in the end she at least has SOMETHING to do with the Green Sun.

Pretty sure the final battle is going to go something like:

Though, I dunno about severing his own head being part of the plan all along. Maybe a back-up "if I ever do need to get a resurrection kiss, make sure Jake is the one to do it" plan.

This comic Prequel spawned off of the MSPA forums as a Oblivion based fan adventure, and it is pretty good I'd suggest reading it. Even if you don't feel like picking up a new webcomic though, I'd still say to look at the current page, it is pretty interesting.

Welp, the next Intermission is out. However it is in HTML5 and doesn't work with my version of Firefox. Which I can't update because Apple sucks . And I can't get Chrome either. So... I know it has a game... and... erhm... the Pieces symbol. Yup yup...

I feel like a lot of the jokes were lost or didn't have their full effect on me due to the fact that I am unacquainted with tumblr culture, beyond observing from a safe distance the absurd extent its stereotypical users sometimes go to to be "accepting", and making fun of it excessively. So I get "yes, this whole thing is basically parodying/making fun of tumblr", but...shrug. And the sound kept breaking on mine so the music wouldn't loop (I was, however, grateful for this fact when I was playing as Latula. I only needed to hear Game Girl once, thanks!) I still spent a god damned hour doing every possible thing though, because that's how I roll.

Just in case any of you Homestuck fans somehow missed it, Hussie's going to be developing a game based on the Homestuck universe, because the fandom raised over $700k in 32 hours.

That is...wow. That is a lot of money.
